Poll: To ban TM from World cup

I strongly believe we must make a unified effort to have TM banned from the World Cup. After the massacre of our children, brothers, sisters, and elderly—and while countless people remain imprisoned and brutal crackdowns continue—the Islamic regime is attempting to portray life as “normal” by restarting the league and pushing forward with international appearances.

    This is unacceptable.

We need to unite, launch a petition, and formally demand that FIFA ban the Islamic regime from participating in the World Cup. This is the least we can do. If players choose not to speak out against the regime internally, that is their decision—but they still have the choice not to represent TM. In my view, any player who chooses to play for TM under these circumstances is betraying Iran and the memory of those who have been killed.

We must apply pressure on the regime by every possible means. Allowing them to participate in the World Cup only helps them whitewash their crimes and present a false image of normalcy to the world while an entire nation is mourning.

What is the meaning of a World Cup when a blood-soaked regime is using it as propaganda?

I am posting this as a poll to honestly assess where Iranians stand on this issue.

A government that uses sports for its own politics is the one that should be blamed and held accountable. Its not the people who are mixing sports and politics. Its the government. and FIFA is a tool that's only after money. Your statement is a form of indirect support for the bloody regime killing Iranians.

Hard no. Team Melli is for the people, not the government. I am staunchly anti-regime, but pro-team melli. If anything, their participation can bring continued visibility/commentary on the situation in the country.

Seriously, let's not start this up again. In Qatar, there was serious conflict among like-minded anti-regime folks on this issue that caused all kinds of infighting and division.

And with some luck, this will be a non-issue by then...seriously, I cringe every time they say, "and welcome to the field, the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC of Iran".
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.

This WC will be worst than 4 years a go in level of ambiance!
I wouldn’t want to be part of this team!

                What's better?

Going to the WC and having a renewed focus in terms of people showing up to protest, media coverage, player actions, etc

                OR

get banned from the world cup, and silently miss it while everyone forgets about us?
