In a dark era for our football, Dragan Skocic has done wonders for our credibility in Asian football. Getting second, just behind Al Hilal, is truly something that's worthy of a lot of recognition and praise. In 2021, he had little reputation preceding him, but now he has a much stronger resume, more credibility, consistently has been a winner, and has grown in terms of his player management and tactical knowledge.

If he can continue to elevate his player management, he could be a serious candidate to take over from GN after the World Cup. I think his success in Asian football over the past 2 years and in our league has garnered much more respect among our players, which would help him in the locker room. Thoughts?

It depends on if the old crew is retired or not.

Any of the old players who wanted him out need to be not invited anymore to avoid hashieh.

Noooo no skocic as TM coach please. This guy is better then Ghalenoei, but he can't build a team. He didn't introduce any new players during his TM-era and he is not doing anything for tractor too. For example, Kor, a player of the youth academy never gets minutes.

Skocic was never given a chance as TM manager anyways, he got thrown into a failing world cup campaign with 0 leeway, had players out with Covid against South Korea (forced to play Haj Safi and Mehdipour double pivot 😭💀💀), and had a whole friendly camp cancelled.

The one single friendly he did get was against Algeria's B team in 150° in Qatar. If I remember correctly he was testing out Hosseinzadeh and Aghasi that game too.

And all the above was literally in the span of like 6-7 camps.

I mean he wasn't AMAZING but I feel like people give him too much shit, he's not worse than Ghalenoei in my opinion. He also at the time was trying to incorporate different players into TM even if some of them were questionable (Noorafkan)

All I will say is for 2026 WC:

Ghalenoei = Group Stage Exit (1 Point)
Skocic = Round of 32 (4 points)
Coach with solid tactics = Round of 16, possibly final 8, with 5 to 7 point in our group. Possibly could finish first in this weak group.
