The plans were put in place before the teams involved in the fixture were selected or the draw for the 2026 World Cup was made.

And following Friday's draw and Saturday's fixture allocation, it has been confirmed that the game on 26 June in Seattle will be the Group G match between Egypt and Iran.

apparently the captains will have to wear the rainbow armbands?!
wonder if that will happen …
Will never happen that the captains will wear that ko*ni facist armband, so damn tired of that every damn tournament the topic is pride and their facism to force their agenda on everyone and why female footballers does not earn as much as the male footballers.

Let the shitshow begin.... my god just stick to football.....

This WC is turning out to be PR nightmare for IRI, ⠀⠀ apparently the Iran vs Egypt game is designated for Seattle Pride week lol, both Saleh and Tarmi need to wear a Pride Captain's arm band.

Every single team dreamt about drawing Iran, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Cape Verde and teams in this category. How are we supposed to have our best WC ever when we struggle against the weakest teams of the tournament?

    [QUOTE=shahabGAOL;n3827638]I say:

    Iran 5 - 0 New Zeeland (LA)

    Iran 2 - 3 Belgium (Vancouver)

    Iran 2 - 1 Egypt (Seatle)
    [/QUOTE

Goon Dallal GN and his band of thieves aka coaching staff couldn't even put 5 past Afghanistan and were scored on by them and other weak teams--but we will put 5 past New Zealand..hahaha the delusion of some people. We will lose to belgium big, lose to egypt and maybe tie New Zealand..if this staff stays and the choice of their team stays.

    Amir Ghalenoi, no trick pony

    CQ, 1 trick pony

    AG
    -he has no game plan
    -no strategy
    - no tactics
    -no scouting
    - the only thing he had was respect, but now he doesn’t even have respect
    - old mind , lack of any flexibility,

    CQ
    - was disciplined
    -had 1 tactical strategy only
    - held players accountable
    - strong defense
    -scouted players
    -no offensive plan at all
    -had players respect
-old mind , lack of flexibility and able to change tactical if necessary

yes, CQ is a better Coach then AG, but he has no offensive strategy at all. He does not promote offensive players and he’s not willing to risk playing offensive football, in important games.

The best that can be achieved with a coach like Amir Ghalenoi, is qualifying for the World Cup, but we could never win an actual game or go to the second round with him as the coach. Not possible

With Carlos Q, you can go a little further you can qualify for the World Cup and you can get about 3 to 4 points in the group, he can win one game for sure , but you can never have enough to go to the second round

that is where both these coaches are very limited, they both have an outdated way of thinking about the game that involves tactics that are very easily scouted, CQ obviously is much better than AG but he is limited cause his tactics are outdated.

If we are going to actually achieve anything, we do need to make some changes whether it’s with the coaching staff or the players that are involved in this team to actually have a chance to win go to the second round maybe even the round of 16 it’s possible because we don’t have a very difficult group round and second round and maybe even third round.

Before Iran's match against Wales in the last World Cup, CQ famously said, "Iran's World Cup has just started." He was fully aware that Iran had little chance against England in its first world cup game, and that any hopes of advancing would depend on the two remaining group-stage matches. However, in 2026, Iran's World Cup will begin—and possibly end—with the opening game against New Zealand. This match is crucial, as it could determine whether the dream of progressing past the group stage will come to fruition in 2026 or be postponed for another four years.

Iran must develop a strong strategy and game plan for their first encounter with the All Whites. The team must capitalize on the overwhelming support from their fans in LA and secure all three points. A victory would not only place Iran in a favorable position on the table from the outset, but also provide the confidence needed to approach their subsequent matches against Belgium and Egypt with greater composure.

While New Zealand is certainly not a pushover, their style of play is comparable to that of Wales, meaning the match is far from impossible for Iran to win.
