Unfortunately its because he's just not that good. In the last few years, his a few moments of brilliance when he locks in have been far overshadowed by his absolute lack of ability to do anything besides defend. He can hardly dribble and cross the ball.

Because the answer is he's tall, was the PGPL top scorer for 3 seasons, etc. Which doesn't mean anything because our domestic league quality is bottom of the barrel, so the best player from there can barely compete in Turkey.

GNs biggest problem is his coaching staff. Saeed Alhoei/Afazeli are useless and don't know how to recruit any diaspora. His tactician got his credentials with a Barcelona online course he paid $300 dollar for and is a nepo baby.

And of course we can't forget Rahman Rezaei because he has got to be one of the more incompetent ones. Still remembering him trying to find his papers to tell Majid Hosseini the tactics before his sub in the AC.

Then you got people like Teymourian hanging around camp whose only job is to keep the players mentally well and he can't even do that since they collapse every game.

The goalkeeping coach is a random who only worked for tractor for one season before joining TM

Sorry but that's factually incorrect. He continued to improve well into his mid-20s. He had two exceptional season with AZ. Even during his time in Brighton he improved defensively in the first two seasons.

this i agree with to a large degree..!!
it's difficult to discern significant improvements in his game since his somewhat impressive late teen breakout into international scene with TM ...!

his performances over the years have been Extremely Inconsistent with big highs and mostly lows, which sometime make it seem like he is improving or regressing..!!

for me he played his best / most impactful football in TM during penultimate qualifying round of 2022 WC under Eskoochie man ..!!
perhaps eskoocher denying him repeated invites to TM camp due to him not playing much at BHA had some to do with his motivation to show up big and score some Vital Goals for TM down the stretch in 22 WC Qualifying when our backs were against the wall and had to win like every match, most of which were away fixtures..!

Saw something earlier about Abedzadeh, he has been the starting keeper for Castellon in La Liga 2 in the first two games of the season.
They lost against Valladolid 1-0, nothing he could do about the goal and pulled off a few very nice saves too.
