I've said before Esteghlal and Sepahan embarrass us in ACL. Persepolis is the only club that was representing us well continentally for the past 10 years.

I'm happy they're getting results in Asia.
Yeah, the real measurement stick will be how they will perform vs Saudi clubs!

I think statistically he got the luckiest possible draw - 0 Saudi teams in 8 matches is unbelievable luck . Hopefully he can lead them to a quarter or semi final finish

Surprised he has chosen the k league and ipl as his career choice. Seems like the guy who likes to be a big fish in a small pond

Well, based on the way this season has been going, he's gonna double his paycheck in UAE or Qatar soon

Congratulations to Esteghlal fans on the sweet victory over al muharraq. It would've been embarrassing for a top Iranian club (even with all the shortcomings) to lose to a Bahraini club. It would've been a massive achievement for them had they won, but thankfully they did not. It's always sweet to see Iran football beat Bahrain football.

In Asia, we support Iranian clubs. Whether League Elite or Two. Congrats to Sepahan and Tractor as well.

Hope our clubs go far in the competition!

relative to other clubs (saudi aside obviously) in Asia i dont think we have that many short comings

ss and persepolis splash alot of wages and invest big in players- often times that money is spent wrong but this time round i think asani and munir are genuinely great additions

I really enjoy watching Asani and Munir play ball. Asani in particular, you can tell he has pride wearing the blue jersey. Pride and passion for the shirt can help Esteghlal go far. They are playing with more confidence these days and I'll support their success in Asia. But not in the league of course

                      Best wishes!
