I like Dennis the Menace. I believe he can help Team Melli. But will he fit Ghalemorghi's formula? He's decent. Still don't think he's anywhere as good as an Azmoun who plays in UAE (I know he's recovering from surgery). But can he help this inconsistent Team Melli that lacks a solid personality?

Also, I know speaking Farsi doesn't matter as much when it comes to football. But Ghalenoei can't speak English lol. I don't know, we shall see.

But I like Dennis the Menace. If he's going to play with his heart for Iran as Ashkan and Gucci did for us in the past, then why not.

Best case scenario 70 minutes has been his situation for years! - Let's hope he can even keep this up after taking it easy in UAE!

Only reason he might play 70 minutes is because of lack of options, but if we somehow come up with other options that are fit and effective (in form), he'll be used for 45 minutes (second half sub) - especially if he's still a bit rusty from his big injury layoff.

He is so naturally talented...too bad he didn't amount to our hopes but at least he's still better than anyone else as striker (when actually fit to play).

Folks, let's face it, we are in a desperate situation in all ranks and positions in the team, from goalkeeper, to defense, midfield, upfront and more importantly the coaching head and staff.

Everyone has to be replaced, seriously!

i would say When healthy Azmoun should be our first choice still, Taremi 2nd and then competition between him, Alipour, Kasra Taheri, Saharkhizan, Ghandipour for 3rd spot
He is target, Allahyar is winger. He is big guy who can create space

whatever happened to that young kid Kasra Taheri .!? I only saw one TM game from him & he looked pretty impressive for a player coming out of our local league..!?
alikoor is largely useless hustler & would be a waste of Wc spot if ..!
injured in the tanzania friendly i think hes out for 3 months

I’ve said this before: there are many things we can blame IFF for, but this case is not one of them. Ibrahim Maza’s situation is not comparable at all. Maza has a fully Algerian father. Eckert’s father is only half Iranian, and there is no official documentation to prove Iranian nationality.

Without that, how is IFF supposed to prove to FIFA that he is partly Iranian in order to request a nationality switch?

What we should be blaming IFF for is the lack of a proper scouting system to identify players in the Iranian diaspora and invite them to youth teams at an early stage.
IFF could literally just go on this forum then call up the players mentioned here - I’m sure someone checks it because one month after the aria Jasur thread was made on this forum CQ went to Tokyo to speak to his dad

seems now it’s just opportunitistic agents that use this forum as Eckert said during his time at Celta Iranian agents reached out to him and he ignored them

but with stuckler and the Swedish goalkeeper we could just pitch them World Cup minutes and give them game time here and there but we don’t seem to try as hard with legionaries as we once did under the cq era . We don’t try as hard as we once did to push these players through which is a Shame
