Same thing with Eckert. He is from Germany so he must be football genius!
You're right let's instead take our most in form domestic strikers....Ali Alipour and Shahriyar Moghanlou. Let's throw in Reza Asadi while we're at it too eh? They couldn't score against North Korea and Uzbekistan, but I just believe they will rise up and show how much IRANIAN gheirat they have and score hattrick in the world cup 🔥🔥

Expert take 🔥🔥 and true solutions based complaining.

This is ridiculous. IRI trying everything to show that there is nothing to see here while we all know there is a war going on. I had the same beef with out players who came to IPL during the summer transfer. How can you not see what is happening in Iran and possibly miss out on the 2nd half of the season if a war breaks out. A bunch of idiots who only care about their money and car vouchers.

Any player with a few brain cell would have played outside for this season at least.

Sports washing happens in literally every corrupt nation - athletes are greedy and only care about money

Saudi has been bombing Yemen for goodness knows how long and they bought god knows how many boxers , footballers in the last few years to distract from their war crimes and everyone took the money. Same with Qatar who bought out the likes of David Beckham and Gary Neville to distract from their human rights atrocities - there are many more examples but athletes all over the world can be bought out pretty easily and convinced to move to undesirable places when wage rises are involved For the billions invested Suadi haven't really achieved much on the pitch losing to Vietnam and Jordan this year in the U23 championship and indonesia in the wc 2026 campaign . Again no one called any of these players out Ronaldo moved to saudi messi moved to the US who have bombed what 7 nations this year? or so?

IPL players are simply over paid for what they are - no other teams in the world are going to match their ridiculous wages most certainly not in Europe there's just too much comfort back home for them to go elsewhere even with all the political insecurity money talks - my cousin got a 3x wage rise for working in iraq in 2003- it was dangerous but the money enabled her to buy a house in the US so overall it was worth it for her. IPL players probably get paid 4-5 times their actual worth than if they were in europe .

In regards to this Korean player Korean media first reported he signed on the 4th Jan so most likely discussions took place last year and now it's been announced this seems more of a case of bad timing rather than deliberate sports washing per say. He's also only managed 2 appearances last season so most likely his career is going downhill and Mes were probably one of the few teams willing to pay more than his worth to get him onboard.

But yeah esteghal recently signed a former nba champion they also recruited three female players too from the US so in total 4 americans - no doubt these players are getting paid considerably more than they would be back home . The aura of sports washing is definitely increasing in iran - the worse the economy and political situation gets seemingly the more "luxurious" the signings become be it ex nba stars, ex barca player Munir , ACL Elite star man Asani or Korean internationals.

btw im not justifying any of these moves or any of the actions by any of these regimes - just saying this has been done before and will be done in the future because a lot of people put money before morales

They should cancel the league. til this situation is figured out. All sports activity needs to stop ASAP
