Iran vs. Qatar June 5th WCQ Match Thread

Just finished watching highlights of kyrgzistan game and I almost started crying. Why can players from this random country and North Korea shoot the ball harder and more accurately than our team that is ranked 18th in the world. I know I’ve brought this up a million times but it genuinely makes me feel so terrible. How is it possible that not a single player from Iran can shoot the ball 😔 I know many overweight Sunday league players who can kick the ball better than the guys representing our country at the highest level. HELP

Honestly I can clearly say Aghasi was better than Kanaani/Shoja today. His athleticism and pace shut down Almoez Ali in a way those other two oldies can't. He was also carrying the ball forward in a way none of our CBs can besides Majid Hosseini who is made of glass and never around. If anything our defense would probably be even better if we put Aghasi next to someone like Zare, with his size and technicality compared to Shoja. The word experience really is a cancer to our team. Tired of the experience of these mid players who get 5 yellow cards in 8 minutes.Originally posted by arj42 View PostThis game also showed that most of our players are so easily replaceable. Aghasi played no better or worse than Shoja. Mehdi mohebi didn’t play any better or worse than JB. I mean this in a positive way, we do not have 11 players that “must” start. Other than Taremi, azmoun, and I guess rostov mohebi, all of our players are…..normal. As TM fans we like to think different but nope, they’re all very average (this isn’t necessarily a bad thing).
long story short, we NEED to start rotating more and giving more players significant minutes. We can’t rely on that same average starting 11 every match. Without a doubt if haji eydi or hosseinejad played, they wouldn’t be worse than karimi or ezatolahi. Sick of seeing the same people
Notice the goal also came from Milad and Shoja's side :/
Need to go on a nationwide hunt for a new LB or bring Haj Safi back or something. Milad is just...ugh man

The only good news is that we will have no expectations whatsoever at the World Cup for the first time in a very long time. Before this, I actually had a little bit of hope. But now, there is absolutely nothing there. We will be amongst the worst teams in the tournament. Hands down.

“”” So sad that we will lose tomorrow and everyone one here will not be surprised or shocked about it and we all actually accept it as something the IFF and GN and some players have already decided will happen…
The referee is already bought so tomorrow marks my works we will either get a red card or Qatar will get a penalty or both ,,,
GN made sure all players who would play hard regardless, Sardar , ghadei faked injured so they not there ,,, he has Taremi who tomorrow will run like his useless self around the pitch , with zero shots on net“”””
I called it before the game these clowns in IFF and GN are too predictable now …

I literally feel sick after watching that game. Had a nice day planned, my little cousin come over yesterday so we could have a good memory watching the game together this morning and I made him see That garbage lol. Poor guy.
What a Shameful, rigged, garbage game, with a loss to a fake Country that continues to conduct sport washing on multiple levels.
Again I am in no way saying that we also on our end weren’t poor too. But with a clueless “coach” And literally not being able to go into a tackle without getting a yellow, all the while being kicked and elbowed is absolutely insane. Gotta just pretend this game never happened.

5 yellow cards in 8 minutes.Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostMy hot take:
Nowhere near as bad as the histrionics suggest.
Played with mostly a second string squad against a very motivated Qatar in June after end of season.
Were a man short for 70 minutes.
Negatives:
GN is either:
1 - too stubborn to make different changes, or;
2 - our talent right now is so bad that these really are the best players who he plays on the field.
Team needs real matches now against big teams who will put us under pressure and press all game.
Pay as much as we can to Mexico and South American and African teams for friendlies. Forget about Europeans playing us.
The discipline you'd expect from experienced players doesn't exist.
We've had worst performances before, but the specific way we fucked up today destroys any pro-GN argument. He's tactically poor, squad selection + subs are trash, and obviously we have no discipline.
The only positives were Aghasi and Mohebbi.

There is no coincidence in the world. GN will stay because he is an IR agent.Originally posted by arj42 View PostPeople think all of the things that went against us was a coincidence🤣 and that 11 yellow cards in 5 minutes was also a coincidence. Game was rigged AND our teams terrible.
it’s time for GN to go. Nothing has changed in our lineups or defensive structure. Literally nothing has changed. Red card every game

Same people who say the IR is a great regime. God knows what their intentions are. How can they be so blind? Because they might be here to normalize these defeats so that the IR and their coach pick stay unharmed. Let's not be overseeing this fact.Originally posted by Karimi 8 View PostI don’t get how anyone can say this match isn’t fixed the ref literally gave a yellow for our player getting elbowed in the face when there was no ball near them, we got a high kick above the knee no red again. The Qatari players are fouling for fun knowing they won’t even get a yellow and our players breathe near to a Qatari and it’s a foul.

Problem with most Iranians is that they cant see. They couldn't see khomeinis intentions and now cant see the IR and what they are capable of and argue with everyone and thinkng they know better. The guy comes here and tries to justify the loss for this regime and it's team. Cant see and stupidly argue with the truth. This is not our real TM but a mafia and people cannot see it. They think from a regime like IR good things are gonna come out?? dream on.Last edited by webmaster; 06-05-2025, 02:02 PM.
