    Skocic interview with Adel

Definitely showed a side of him I was not aware of.

    - Correctly identifies the Iranian inferiority complex

    - The plague of "big names" rather than quality players.

    - Claims JB and Taremi tried to undermine him to bring their geriatric friend Ansarifard back to the team. Specifically calling out Taremi for harming TM with his off-field behavior (scheming, etc....).

    - Shits on Mehdi Taj in a manner which is impossible to disagree with

I really recommend you watch this if you're an Iranian football fan.

Gotta say.... really enjoyed everything he said and would much rather have this guy as coach than GN

I can't recall if you were for or against him... but I find some Iranian football fans are saying this now when 3 years ago they wanted his head.
Taremi and JB probably did scheme behind his back, but I think something must have gone very wrong for him to lose the locker room like that.

I was always on his side but I don’t remember if I was too active on PFDC during that time. I think I was more of a spectator. Back then, for better or worse, I put a huge emphasis on results and this guy got results. He smashed most of his opponents. Now with GN at the helm, I’m starting to understand how results really aren’t everything

I was one of those ppl that was against skocic , at the time , but CQ was a better coach in my opinion overall ..

but looking back we made a big mistake CQ tactics had run their course with TM anyway, we were too predictable and really needed newer tactics and players ,

but also in this instance Taremi and Jahanbakash had everyone fooled with their antics , they made sure to smear skocic and make it hard for him to be the coach in the WC

He talks about what went wrong.

Basically the issue was that Mehdi and JB stepped out of line by trying to influence Skocic's decisions. When he didn't budge, they turned against him and used their influence to topple him. I also would not be surprised if CQ the snake was pulling some strings in the background.

I was one of those that wanted him out during the final round because the team looked a lost around Lebanon match. But knowing what we know now, he should have stayed on and the likes of Mehdi, JB, Ezza should have been cut out instead.
