Anyone tired of all these heartbreak in Iranian football?

All these bad stuff comes from one reason. The Islamic Ripoff league.

I guess as long as people do not realize this truth we will continue sinking down. Its too heartbreaking but this will get only worse. What do you think?

Things were way worse back in 2010 when we couldn’t even score a goal against the UAE and have North Korea and Saudi Arabia humiliate us and missing out on qualification against a North Korean team with one legionnaire

luckily the front three of Mohebi , Azmoun and Taremi are too good for most defences in Asia but i fear when the legs of these three are gone we will be in deep shit. We are lucky to have two of the best strikers in the continent in Azmoun and taremi and that’s bailed us out from embarrassment really.

our teams In the league are richer than prior seasons but appear to be way more wasteful buying crap like Lucas Jao , Joel Kojo, Ndong , Nabil Bahoui but we have some ex global talents here like nzonzi and Ben yedder - I fear with the increase in foreign players quota we will see more wastefulness across the ipl teams and youth being given even less of a chance than now

IR is the reason we are a international pariah and have minimal infrastructure.
Our choke jobs though are also due to Iranian goshad behavior and complacency.

As for the heartbreak. I've been following Iranian football for 30 years. If heartbreak was the reason I should stop following - I would have stopped 30 years ago

Heartbreak is part of football and also our DNA. That's said, if our football was only that then there would be no motivation to follow it. The other extreme is true too (when your team win absolutely every game for a long period).

Even in the worst time, Hope is important but at the moment, and I reckon we lack positive signal :
        • TM coach isn't competent for World cup level, in addition of selecting/playing a lot of wrong players + ignoring good ones
        • The overuse of old players went so far that even fans/medias are starting to understand that.
        • Europe completely boycott our players, those who are in Europe rush back to IPL/UAE instead of fighting. those in Iran goes to average russian teams at best. Russia is our only hope at the moment.
        • Our current U17 is a failure. Our U20 is promising but missed the U20 WC. The hope to have a successful iranian in a top team isn't for tomorrow.
        • IPL results in Asia is awful but at least we are seeing some young players more and more.

Out of 200 countries, only 10-20 max are competent to develop high level players (beyong high shots). Instead of fake pride or non sense with praise of iranian coach, we should admit we sx to develop high level player and let others do the job.

How? Like Croatian league, IPL should be a platform to launch young players and send them to Europe (that don't boycott us) asap. IPL should be a mix for young players, players that perform in Azadegan + legionnaires ending their career or finished for Europe + some foreigners like Nzonzi, Ben Yedder

The root cause is, of course, IRI. They have corrupted the country so much that it has affected every sector of life in Iran, including sports. This trickle-down effect has destroyed our football. Just look at our JOKE league. Mofia bazi at its best. It is a league that is based on pay-to-play. Not based on talent. This leads to our failures.
          IRI = FAILED

IR certainly creates conditions that hinders our footballs potential:

Corruption in the league, Government interference, hindering womens participation, political litmus tests for participation of footballers etc. People are so unhappy with their lives with no sense of fair justice they spend 90 minutes berating a GK parents. Its for oghdeh and this is IRs fault.

The league creates bad conditions as well with old players favored, clubs spending millions on washed up foreigners instead of younger domestic players.

A hill I am ready to die on, is that a good portion of our domestic fans are poisonous. This might be the only country on Earth where the diaspora fans have more sense than the domestic ones.No self respecting club listens to the dumbest portion of their fanbase for anything but in Iran the dumbest have the best platform. Thats why their primary concern is fosh daadan, and PP/SS players getting selected to TM regardless of how bad they are at present.

The expanded World cup just helps us qualify to hide the issues. You see the structural issues at youth level and when our clubs play in the Champions League.

I mostly agree but are Man United fans unhappy with their life to insult foden's mother? Insulting a player is common to every country in the world, except maybe in Japan/SK.
Iran's has just stupidiest people, specially in their football fans.

Do they spend 90 minutes of a game doing it week in, week out?

Do they break chairs at any inconvenience constantly?

Despite United being at their worst in decades, the away support is incredible travelling to Mogholestan for Europa games. They blame the team owners for their predicament more than any one player.

Our fans are a special breed who spam comment sections for their favorite club groupie even if they are 56 yr old and out of shape. Special.

We're bad, but we're as bad as everyone else. I truly believe this.

When it comes to senior team melli, we have never been "stronger" (better team in 2018) when it comes to stats. I mean...we just qualified to our third world cup in a row having lost no games. Our only loss in last 5 years were against Qatar at AC and to Kuwait under Wilcox.

But everything else? Domestic football, league, and youth teams? yeah we are absolutely screwed. Gavemon zaide

South American clubs have their own fan issues and CONMEBOL was at fault for that organization of the final which was notably of national teams.

At least they have high standards and torch their administration when necessary.

We happen to have a stellar division of club fans who don't understand modern football, can't blame IFF/the government directly without getting jailed, and turn around and blame players for everything. It's a toxic combo.

As a diaspora fan of Iranian football, I would be ecstatic if some clubs/Teaem Melli had maybe 5-6 players that are press resistant, able to distribute the ball, trap, and cross like Aadam hesabi. Your average Japanese midfielder basically. That would get me excited.

Domestic fans still cheer after Kanaani misses his 8th attempt at a bicycle kick from 20 yards out. That's where the majority of our fans are mentally.
