Best thing right now is not coaching change but assistant coaching changes. If we get some actual assistants instead of placeholders. What does Ando even do in TM? Afazeli? My mom could scout PGPL and diaspora better. What does Saeed Alhoei do? That one dude with the $400 online token certificate from Barcelona?

Regarding change of the coach. I dont mind it, as I dont Think GN is tactically good enough. At the world cup we need to be solid in defence and in midfield. Our offence Cant win us matches alone, because the opposition is better. In Asia our offence Can score against anybody. But at the world cup nobody fears Taremi or Azmoun.

But let me tell you. A new coach wont change the player selection. 95% of the same players Will be called up. No coach is going to drop Shoja, as it is a Big risk. They Will see that he has been part of the qualification and has the experience and knows the team and players Well. If a coach drops him and we get hammered, Everybody Will say why did you change the defence that know eachother. We are Iran, our players are not known. So a new coach wont know about Hazbavi, Aghasi and so on. So the players Will be the same. The Only thing that can change, is out defensive setup. Which for me is more important than the players. Because in GNs system, it doesnt matter if we play Shoja or whoever. The holes Will still be there. Its much much bigger than the players.

Then there is CQ. He May know our players, but I have one Big concern with him. Will he just stick to the players he know and trust from before? So our defence Will go back to Hosseini and PAG? What about Mohebi? Does he even know that he is one our most important players now? CQ made a Big Big mistake in 2022, and that was dropping Shoja and specially Kanani. I remember Kanani being our star defender ik the qualifiers and against Uruguay and Senegal. Why did he drop him? We went with the players he knew and trusted from before.

So our problem is not just the players. Its the system we play and lack of defensive strategies. A new coach Will make small changes in the squad. If anybody Think a new coach Will drop 10 experienced players and invite 10 Young players who has zero experince in the national team, you are in for a Big disappointment. Specially 1 year before a world cup with limited time with the squad. This is how Football work guys

    1. Any coach ( European or South American ) that has experience playing offensive football , and who has coached at the elite level and is a winner .

Strama hasn't had success with anyone for years. Coaching at Inter over a decade ago isn't impressive if your recent accomplishment was failing with Al Gharafa. Also he'd been unemployed for 3 years

Bento is actually a good option if we wanted to ditch GN - still not the best idea, but if anyone was an option, I'd go with him. Proven success with Korea and I am not going to blame him for having a tough time with UAE's shit team

Esteghlal fans won’t let go until anyone affiliated with them takes over TM.

I’d rather any of the past Persepolis coaches (Kartal, Osmar, Yahya, Calderon, Branko) before Strama.

If we are to replace the coach, need a big name for players to respect. No small fry 2nd rate European guy is better than GN

Apparently, Taremi and JB are in the camp of changing the coach. There are some players who want GN as they will see playing time. I think regardless of who the coach is with these players we have no hope. But with a good coach are chance of not lossing by 6 goals improves. But we will still lose. we just do not have the team and talent.

I don't understand strama hype, he stayed 2 months in Iran when he was very nervous against everybody, didn't succeed much in Qatar. Don't even know he returned to Europe since.

Halilhodzic, Katanec, even Xavi (say he was to coach a world cup team) would be nice

    - defensive problem come because he doesn't have time to work. He wanted defenders from IPL earlier to work for them but IPL clubs refused.
    - he promised to use more youngies in the next games but also said young players should show more in the league.

Excuses, excuses. How come the other teams don't have this issue. The Uzbek players all have club duties, yet they play well for their national team.

The real problem which GN is avoiding like a WEASEL is his insistence on using Old/rusted players like Shoja, Kanani, Mohammadi, and Jahanbakhsh. While Uzbekistan is constantly rejuvenating itself with younger players that end up playing in Man City.
