This above account was shady so take it with a grain of salt, seems like its a troll but other trustworthy people have been beating the drums about him. I'm optimistic, all bad times eventually are followed by some good times lol

We are nowhere near the same political situation in the 1990s. No one had said anything as an Iranian president regarding the Holocaust, no war on terror, no Bush, no US sailors kidnapped, no proxy wars with Israel/US, nothing like that.Originally posted by mehdi13 View Post
We had same political situation when we had so many players in bundesliga in late 90s/ early 2000s. So many you have to really sit and think to remember all of them. Rasul khatibi, andranik’s brother… Our players today just aren’t good enough. We are watching for 3.5 consecutive seasons our two best players struggle in germany and italy.
btw i’m not worried about city, if taremi or azmoun don’t score for third time against khusanov its us who is badbakht.
The market is also far different and other Asian countries who are easier to access now than the 1990s to ship out players.
Reminder that Japan was cholagh in football until the 1990s anyway.
I'm not saying we dont have room for growth and we definitely have stagnated, but the comparisons are not as simple as you want them to be.

Club wise we are in definitely a worst situation now than we have ever been in 2 years. Pretty much only Taremi is playing high level football, rest of our players is scattered in awful sunday leagues. BUT I will say this TM is probably the best iteration of TM since 2006. Before this group of players who are on their way out we never made it 3 consecutive world cups in a row so easily.Originally posted by mehdi13 View Post

Beating Bahrain and Kuwait used to be harder than beating Japan for us for those who remember lol

that’s ok. Mistakes at young age build character. At least he has khaye to go and try. Unlike azmoun who said no to liverpool and hid in a russian village.Originally posted by PEJ View PostKrusonov with a terrible mistake in his first match that led to Chelsea goal. Happened in the 2nd minute. Right now he is way out of his element. Followed it up with a yellow card a minute later.

Yes other teams are progressing but it is not 100% a comparison of teams at play but economic and political factors as well.
There are zero hurdles to Man City buying people from Egypt and Uzbekistan. I am certain it may even benefit them since they can shadily pay them away from all the different venues the way they have been charged 130times for.
Teams do not want to do business for Iranian players for so many reasons not limited to price gouging agents who prefer domestic league sales, sanctions, bad PR, poor diplomatic relationships, difficulty of travel to scout, and easier options elsewhere.
Removing myself from my identity for a second, there is zero reason why anyone would choose Iranian players over Uzbek, Iraq/Saudi, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Egyptian players if the ability is the same. All of the latter are far easier to recruit with less obstacles.
The only Iranian ones who get to Europe and stay are above the level of the others.
Armchair analysis will not fix it. You'd have to send raids to jail/eliminate the agents/akhoonds(very capitalist folks) to stop gatekeeping Iranian talent, fix the political situation, and offer something better than these other countries.
If Azmoun or Taremi score on Khusanov in March then City kheili badbakhte

if having a premier league player is pishraft than CAF should have had a World Cup winner by now. It’s apples and Allan wrenches.Originally posted by mehdi13 View PostTwo countries I’m always reading we are better than at football each just sent a player to man city.
