Lets stop fearmongering about Japan. At AC we beat them and ultimately lost to Qatar because of old midfielders and Ramin Rezaeian. If Sardar was tired he wouldn't be going for random bicycle kicks. At this level Japan U20 is not that much stronger than us for us to pull our punches like this. These kids lost to them at U17 but they're all in a better position now

I Watched this game and also the Highlights of the Sepahan Persepolis game Yesterday. I dont like that our main Way to score or create chances are still on setpieces and crosses. Who Else does that in 2025? All goals Yesterday and today were either crosses or corner kicks.

Our Football Needs to learn how to create chances from open Play. Actually TM Senior has finally learned that, but that is also the highest level of Iranian Football. We Cant develope these Young kids with old School strategies

Im always happy when we score. I just Saw a pattern that worried me. All goals today and Yesterday were from crosses and set pieces. Thats 8 goals. I just dont want our Football to rely on this, as modern Football has changed and we must changed with the times. It could be a coincedence, which is fine. But if tactics from U15 to senior Football is to get the Ball on the flanks and cross it for the header, then these boys Will never make it in Europe.

It's still a problem for us. Before Ramin's free kick goal in 2023, our last goal from a free kick was almost 10 years before it. Unless if you count Haj Safi Morroco own goal.

Though I don't think TM is even serious about free kicks? Nowadays under GN we let Ezatollahi and Taremi take them and completely miss

Barca/Man City fans swear by Tiki Taka and hate set piece/counter football.

Old school United (yours truly) ,Real Madrid and and Germany fans hate Tiki Taka and like direct simple counterattacking or tempo play etc


It drives me mad when players dont trap the ball ASAP bring it down and pass short crisp passes.

Everytime Azmoun tries a bicycle kick I lose a month of lifespan.

I think for Team Melli fans the frustration is how quickly we jump between the types and how poor we are at the basic things of each during those changes.

We went from 2002-2006 bendaaz bala ball to 2011-2022 Defense ball where we forgot how to attack. We are back forgetting how to defend.

Ultimately a lot of it is on the coaching staff for not giving our players instructions on what to do during the three fundamental phases: what to do with possession, what to do without possession, and what to do during fast transitions (counter attacking and defending those counter-attacks).

I'm 100% sure GN only focuses on the first one only because the amount of times I've seen 5 TM players chase 1 opposing player across the field, leaving a giant hole in the middle is sickening lol.
