With respect it is 2024 so every tactic in football by now has a specific name and execution. So what did GN use?

Strategy means nothing if your players can't string a few passes together. Means nothing if they are unwilling to run hard.

I am sure his strategy would sound fairly reasonable. What you saw was the execution.

He put players that can run at defences and break through lines (Ghoddos, Ghaedi, Hezbollahi). He put in players that can cross the ball into the box (Milad, JB, Gholi), he put in player that scores regularly with his head (Sardar). We had a very offensive line up and subs were mostly the same). It's up to the players.

Sooner or later there will be a new stadium. Just like the Milad tower, that was supposed to be finished 30-40 years ago, it will take some time. If it was a shia shrine, it would have probably be done in no time.

I think he’s sick of the press. The press don’t do any sort of actual follow up in Iran and just shit on players.

gn should kiss Taremi. Taremi is making himself the shield for TM and deflecting any criticism
towards GN.

He should be sick of his coaches and teammates who consistently put in awful performances against significantly weaker opponents. Was a bad pitch at fault in Asian cup too?

If he doesn't like it, he can retire from international football. It is what it is... this is Iran, it's a collapsing country. So many people in that country are not making ends meet and this guy wants to throw tantrum for being called out for a weak performance.

There's a common thread here. Against HK, Syria in asian cup, and today, a semi competent coach is able to make adjustments at half time which put his objectively inferior players on equal footing with us as a team.


Even though we stole three points today, the vibe felt a lot like Skocic's loss to SK. GN is on the ropes. If he we don't at least have a dominant draw against UAE, I think GN is rightfully out of job.

I don't feel bad for him. I actually got caught up in the emotions of the Japan win and decided to ignore this guy's incompetence, but He made this mess himself. the opposition that is exponentially weaker and has even lower conditions than we do played 200x better and almost beat us on our home turf. Quit your excuses and do much, much better.

So you would rather Taremi keep his mouth shut? I get it that as fans we are upset about the neglect of our football for years. But calling Taremi spineless because he didn’t speak up on your terms is just petty. Hopefully this is an awakening of a sort.

Kabab Koobideh tactics. It's where we play so chaotically and without chemistry like everyone has hangover from all the beef soltani o tadig the previous night so that it confuses the opponent

Zero offensive production this game. We couldnt even string 5-6 passes together.

This is a world cup qualifier not khooneye amashoon players should not be jogging.

GN has delivered and while you all will blame him for poor team selection (took the most experienced players), poor positioning (most everyone played in their usual position), terrible subs (got in of offensive players while Ezatollahi showed prudence)...the federation will probably see it differently.

Taremi has basically said the field is garbage and they told us to say it’s good.

he says we have minimal infrastructure.

he asks fans not to attack tm and staff during games verbally.

he says all our football has become is “hashieh”.

he’s upset with everyone.

He gets super loud and says we are not “bisharaf”. I think he’s referring to comments fans had made in the past against TM players.
