I always say, when you are at a club and everything is perfect, like it was at Porto, i would never ever move to another team, yes of course sometimes something great happens and you leave, but it was clear from the beginning, i mean i didnt even expect him to play as much as he does right now, we should be very happy with his playing time, but damn ....... i really enjoyed him at porto. Now that he is at inter i hope he stays if he can for another season before anything, not like sardar who left after several games.

^ Totally agree. Most of our players are kun-lagh and always take the safe option. For once in a generation or two, we had a player playing at a really top level in a very good team (Porto), playing regular CL ball, and smashing in goals in a top ~5-7ish league in Europe. Mehdi wanted to challenge himself and test himself at the next level -- which is really the highest level in Europe and one of the best teams in Europe hands down. He has gotten a ton of playing time, but hasn't produced to the level we all wanted to. And that's fine. He took a risk, so far it hasn't panned out but we'll see what the future has in store for him. But he shot his shot, and we should all be proud of him for having the balls to challenge himself when he couldn't just stayed at Porto. Viva Mehdi -- damet garm!

For iranians being a star in porto/zenit/az is as good as it gets. When did iranian move to bigger club or league and succeed? Azmoun, jb, taremi, krezaei all became benchwarmers very quick.

With Taremi's scoring spree at our WCQ matches, I'm hoping he hits the ground much more confident back in Milan.

Inter also have 3 matches in 7 days (Serie A match tomorrow, Copa Italia match on Wednesday, and Serie A match on Saturday). Plenty of need for Taremi in the rotation to keep all the strikers relatively fresh. Also, neither Thuram or Martinez competed in their national team matches due to injuries, so not sure how ready they are to start in either of the three matches.

They have 3 games this week. He won’t play till next week. Needs rest. He had his own physio when he was in Iran the whole International break as well.
