He was amongst one of the problems for sure. His only save was from a ball shot right at him, which he could've caught.

He also had poor distribution and nearly gave up a goal at the end by coming out of his goal...

The main highlight for me in this match is how YET AGAIN Beiro nearly cost us the match and the ONLY F-ING reason he didn’t pay for it is bc we play in Asia where teams can’t punish you for amateur mistakes unless it’s SK or Japan we are playing.

min 77 when the Uzbek player takes a shot on goal and misses….beiro was 3-4 yards off his line for absolutely no f*cking reason anyone with elementary level GK common sense can tell you he was unreasonably far off his line and if the Uzbek player was smart all he had to do was chip him or go for placement on his shot and he would have easily slotted that past Beiro.

min 79…..classic Beiro brain fart almost leads to an easy Uzbek goal. Could have and should have been punished for his massive, stupid brain fart I have no idea what was going on in that empty head of his. He does stupid sh!t like this all the time and I am so freaking sick of it.

anyone defending Beiro at this point is treasonous to TM and will be the first person I point at when we concede stupid goals in crucial games which at this point is inevitable with him in goal. It’s pure blasphemy at this point…..

We just don't have anyone to replace him with. I'm his biggest hater but you saw how easily Niazmand conceded by HK and Hosseini is just as mistake prone. He won golden glove because of Neko playing park the bus the whole season and he didn't get challenged much. Other options include giving Abedzadeh a callup again (which im not against, poor guy had really good footwork and made like 1-2 mistakes and got sacked forever, imagine if we kept Beiranvand to the same standard?!)

Thank you bro... Anyone with any goalkeeper training or knowledge of goalkeeping and positioning will immediately get red flags watching Beiro.

I like Beiro, I think he's a great guy for all he's done for team melli... But the year isn't 2018. It's June 2024...

He's just not as good as he was from 2016-2019 when his reflexes were at least a bit sharper.

Hossein Hosseini is slightly better, but tbh we have a bit of a goalkeeper issue in Iran!

yeah my exact thoughts. Asian teams aren’t clinical enough - most Asian sides lack a top tier finisher to really punish mistakes . Had Hong Kong had a half decent striker in the Asian cup they’d have probably got a few goals against us and exploited Berio’s mistakes

We have become a second tier Asian team.

In my opinion:

Tier 1: Japan, Australia, Korea.
Tier 2: Saudi, Iran, Qatar, Uzbekistan.

In tier 2, I'd place Saudi above us, Qatar will eventually surpass us, if not already. I'd say it's pretty close between us and Uzbekistan.

They are tier 2 like us. But if we play Saudi, I would say they have a higher chance of winning. They have a professional staff, professional physios, analysts etc. Meanwhile we have a someone with a 4 month online course..

I think many on the forum, just like many devoted fanbases, are guilty of extremes. Iran is still arguably the second best team in Asia. Japan is top dog of course, but just as we beat them on a good day, other teams on a good day can beat us (Qatar, Iraq)

Jordan is not a top 5 Asian team even with their recent success. It takes consistent results, longevity. Sure, Iran is trending down, but let's not go into panic mode. This panic mode leads coaches to old lineups, no new faces, and a results now mentality vs investing into the future (wc 26, ac 27)

Granted, it's been long enough for GN to.implement a style of play which has not surfaced, and that is an issue that needs immediate addressing. Again, it will take experimental lineups and results that aren't pretty.

The argument against this that we hear is that ranking is on GNs mind, and hopefully it's not just an excuse. But let's please stop pretending we are either Brazil or Sri Lanka with our current state.

We don't even have to go that young and untested, Gohari and Jafarpour are decent keepers who did well last season. Plenty of options to try.
Unfortunately with a lack of friendlies... this will be difficult.

I agree with Parsa. We have a few of those young promising keepers like Parsa (Naft) , Rafiei (PP), and Khaledabadi (SS). People always think we mean Shakouri when we say young but but we have a bunch of promising keepers in the 20-23 age range right now that could use a try out.
