Joining crappier team means he can get more mins from the start. If he can help them stay up that will set him up nicely as a starter there moving forward.

Orenburg are heavily connected to zenit, same gazprom ownership group, a bit of a feeder club who take many of zenit a younger guys on loan. Given that Ghorbani played and scored vs zenit in the friendlies last year I am sure that is where the interest came about, solidified by monitoring his ACL games. Won’t surprise me if he truly impresses in the long term zenit decide to take him there

That is risky transfer! Can be a good one if they stay in league, he will play vs some half decent teams such as Zenit, CSKA, Dinamo, etc
But if they get relegated it will be considered as a bad move as the club itself is probably more or less at iPL level top 4-5 teams!

Started and scored vs Spartak Moscow (away leg of cup tie).

Minute 35, 2-0 orenburg ahead on aggregate.

he looks quite comfortable, super physical, great in aerials, covering ground well, tidy passing.

SofaScore has the goal as an own goal. Hopefully they change it. 2-1 now on aggregate
