TM needs lots of changes.

1. Ghalenoei's contract has been extended. However, I do feel that he needs to replace some of his current assistants. Alhoei and Manicone should go, instead bring two out of: Mansourian, Hashemian, Aghajanian, Marzban who worked with CQ, Wilmots, Krancar as assistant in Iran or Montenegro national teams.

2. Omid Ebrahimi announced that AC was his last tournament and Qatar was his last match. In my opinion, Haji Safi, Ansarifard, Amiri, Moghanlu, Asadi should retire or be dropped from TM.

3. Move the following players to bench or standby reserves: Khalilzadeh, Cheshmi, Ali Karimi

4. Bring new faces or less capped players: Sayyadmanesh, Jalali, Hazbavi, Barzegar, Salmani, Saeid Sadeghi, Yadegar Rostami, Kaveh Zahiroleslam, and some others from U23, U20 teams. Bring back Kaveh Rezaei, Ahmad Nourollahi.

5. Sayyadmanesh-Barzegar strike partnership should be tried. Azmoun, Taremi, Kaveh Rezaei as subs or super-subs

6. Ghayedi and Gholizadeh should be used more in starting 11.

7. Promote Niazmand to Number 1 keeper.

8. Moharrami should perhaps be starter for RB, and in addition to Rezaeian who seem to alternate due to various circumstances, I think Team Omid's Saman Touranian is worthy to be RB on bench.

I used to be a big BARZEGAR fan. CQ thought very highly of him too. But I don’t think he even has a goal for Nassaji. He definitely isn’t ready and hasn’t proven he deserves a shot.

A full day has passed and my pain has not decreased. I simply cannot stomach that we choked against a team which we beat 4-0 in the CAFA tournament a few months ago.

Our players have SOME SERIOUS mental issues which surfaces in important games such as this.

I also agree GN starting lineup was not optimal. Playing Omid was wrong as well as Haj Safi.

And in the second half we needed technical players to penetrate Qatar’s defense such as Ghayedi or Torabi instead he brought in tall players which had very little effect.

Did anyone point out that the teams with the 2 easiest paths to semifinals are in the final? Also the teams with the two least demanding schedules/longest breaks. It shows that manipulating the bracket can be helpful. Korea and Iran had the tougher schedules and harder path than Jordan and Qatar.

Baba football is supposed to be for our entertainment. Our boys played well and fought and it was damn close!

Think about all the important things in life that you have and try to find solace in them.

There were other teams with better, more deserving players who were eliminated earlier than us. It has been more than 60 years since Korea won and they have been a better team than us for more than 20 years! Korean fans should commit suicide?

Japan should be kicking everyones butts and yet we were killing them! They beat USA and Turkey and Germany 4-0!!!

We did very well and were missing just a little bit of luck, which one also needs for a tournament.

Whole new generation will be coming in and it will be very exciting to see how the new team develops (probably very aggravating as per usual too).

How I am so sure we wont win... Its a curse
we wont win untill one day comes
there will always be an excuse or a reason why, even if we play somalia in the finals.. we would lose that game because every shot we take hits the post

I agree for sports like NBA, NFL, champions league. It’s all theater and commercialized entertainment at end of the day

but team Melli is pure passion. We want to win at all costs. I’ve never watched team Melli play and view it as entertainment. Just pure stress. And always disappointment

Haj Safi makes me feel like I'm stuck in purgatory. Been hearing about him being bad at LB for over a decade and not one coach besides CQ does anything about it. Kosht maro in Adam.... hope he finally retires so we can move on. Ansarifard and Shoja too

haji safi said after the game that he will play until he is needed.

in this case he will be playing till he is 40 and has 250 caps.

players like him, karim, shoja etc should do the right thing and retire and let the youngsters get experience in the team ready for the World Cup. If they don’t retire they will continue to be picked ..
