They have remarkable consistency. Yes they manipulate every possible situation to their advantage, but I don't believe you can win two Asia Cups in a row without stepping your game up at the highest level.

Their ceiling is still limited though which you can see whenever they play any sort of team outside of Asia.
In Asia they are remarkably consistent and we should give them credit there.

Akram Afif probably the best Asian player TBH. Only Azmoun and Son can have the same level of "imposing" themselves.

I say this and I hate absolutely hate Qatar. Afif could play for a top team if Al-Sadd wasn't paying him a billion dollars a year.

There is something special about a players that elevates a whole team to play better on the pitch
