From the start, I was betting on a 4/0 or 5/0 win. The 11/0 or even 9/0 looked irrealistic for me

Iran already look tired."This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

It's the opposite of the clinical approach of the 2017 team where they took their chances against Germany (4-0 win), Costa Rica (3-0), Mexico (2-1)Guinea (3-1)Originally posted by Abtin View Post
yeah commentator keeps saying 'iran is lining up to shoot', nothings comes out from it.
This team seems so frustrated in attack and are now getting angry at each other...

Exactly, the 2nd goal was dumb af to get scored on. A minimal intelligence was to not (let) play in that zone in a wet pitch..Originally posted by Damavand View PostNow we realize how grave of a mistake it was to concede the second goal from England. We would have finished first in the group and faced an easier opponent.
Now we are third and most likely have to face Spain.
Anyways, does going out in QF or in R16 makes a big difference? The tournaments is just there for some of our players to get noticed by Euro teams. Our QF U17 team just send one player an unsuccessful trial on PSV and guy in Fenerbahçe. Our R16 U17 send Saeid to Atletico academy.
This team doesn't seem to have standout players like Saeid (who looked like a boss in the middle of kid) or Allahyar

We are most likely to play Morocco actually. Only situation we face Spain is if Korea is ahead of Mexico in 3rd place rankings.Originally posted by Damavand View PostNow we realize how grave of a mistake it was to concede the second goal from England.
