This moroccan team are all in EU academies since a young age, some already getting first team minutes in eridivisie and other leagues.

Our players, some of whom dont even have club sides, were in control of large sections of the match. Morocco were not creating anything besides random crosses in the box until our defensive fuck up. Let that sink in. They did that vs brazil, england, and now morocco. Players from the same youth system and iranian coaches people here love to take cracks at.

This u17 WC has never been about results. Just consider that nigeria, the team with the most u17 WCs to their name failed to qualify for last WC and may miss out on 2026...tying to lesotho and zimbabwe this week. This is a talent expo for the world. And our players certainly did enough across these matches to show themselves to suitors.

Nima Andarz was MOTM today, insane performance by him. I have not seen an RB of this level at this age maybe ever. Joonevar vaghei. Scary coming up against him. Tackling technique is flawless, physical, explosive, excellent dribbler, great crosser and a goal threat too, as well as an accomplished set piece taker. He will get a big move.

Razzaghinia - another game, again he showed his class. Countless interceptions, tackles, the kid has mastered the art of exerting his physical domination on the game without fouling at a young age. His passing is very tidy and most crucially (as we watch the likes of Saeid and Ali Karimi for TM today) he has SPEED, with and without the ball.

These 2 for me were the huge standouts this tournament. Both from FCKIA for those wondering how mahdavikia's academy is progressing, here is your answer.

Elsewhere, Shakouri was very good again, don't think I have seen an Iranian GK with exits as good as his on crosses, esp given his age. Crazy save from Moroccan free kick today too. With right moves and development he can be future TM Home By far the most talented GK we have at u23, u20, etc levels.

Otherwise today the captain Darvishaali (CB) had a great game. Physical, fast, good on the ball. Hope he can break into foolad first team soon like hazbavi did.

And Kasra Taheri and goalscorer Esmail gholizadeh are big talents from sepahan. IF they do not get eu moves (which I doubt, because they certainly did enough) then hopefully morais stays put at sepahan for a couple more years to blood them through like he did with ghorbani, yousefi, and hosseinnejad this year.
Man anchenan az in team delkhor nistam. Potential raa mibinam, amma manzoram in bood ke in marakeshihaa ma'lom nist chera dar akademi dar Europa hastand, chon az nazare este'daadi be nazaram maali naboodand.

Va in bar fekr mikonam ke mitonestim in team raa shekast bedim chon az nazare este'daad behtar hastim.

I doubt it. Allahyar, Hosseinzadeh and Delfi fk up leave us in a bad situation for striker/winger position

let's not forget last time at u17 wc tm advanced to
Qf and beat Germany 4-0 , 2017 was great run.

Now need to concentrate of making the next wc.
Every time tm has play in wc , tm has missed the following wc....U17 HAS NEVER BEEN TO 2 CONSECUTIVE WC, that's the short term goal.

Gutted for these kids. Great experience for them, hopefully they are given the opportunity to push on now (unlikely with our poor youth set up).
To think that before the 90th minute they were beating Brazil, Morocco, the other team and then drawing England.

razzaghinia and andarz although physically imposing do not rely on their physique. Thats part of what makes them so special. Razzaghinia is big but covers ground very fast and affects defensive side of the game with interceptions and great "bazi khooni". That will translate well as he transitions into mens game (although I expect him to be a physically very imposing player on that level too as he continues to grow and fill out).

Nima's technique is what stands out the most. His technique on the ball, his dribbling in tight spaces, his crossing, his tackling technique. Again will translate well.

For comparison Allahyar at youth level was all about athleticism and power, when he was matched with opponents that were as strong as him in mens game his speed bailed him out for a while until he was introduced to situations with limited space as well which ultimately he has no real attribute to deal with.

These guys are much much more well rounded, again the effect of proper academy setup like kia, what we are also seeing in sepahan and foolad now (the spine of this team)

I hope at the very least Arsha, Andarz, and Razza get some good trials and moves from this team. They would do well to join our current crop of developing midfielders like Hosseinejad and Rostami in developing well.

Our future looks most bleak in striker position. I hope Ghandipour who plays for Peykan already and Dostali keep developing to reinforce there. It's up to them to succeed now
