It’s a friendly in Amman with many of our almost starters injured so I won’t put too much weight on the game itself.
However I want to point out 2 consistent negatives we have in TM:
Hajisafi - I’ve wanted this guy out of TM for 10 years now, but because he plays half decent in a goshad league like Greece, he has forced himself onto the fans favorites again. He can’t defend.
You know why we lose so much shape? Because everyone has to shift over to cover for his lack of running back and slow play. Notice how every Jordan attack was goong through his side? Easy exploit.
he made Shoja look way worse than he is because he has to overextend himself all game. I’d hate playing by a guy like Hajisafi.
JB: love this guy off the field but come on man. Where is your touch? Brighton broke him and took away any composure he had. Time for an extended bench session.
positives:
our attack is very good in transition. Very quick. Taremi Azmoun are a world class pairing.
also with this pitch I wouldn’t expect much more football.

I’m at a loss of words for how horrendous our midfield and defence is. Its unbelievable. At the same time, I understand what others are saying about how this is just a friendly game against weak opponent. Let’s see how we do against Qatar (a decent 2 level team). Why you sun out ghoddos after putting him in? That was super disrespect

If so, will be busy with work and won't be able to tune in until match finished. Although based on how we played today, it may be best to avoid the anxiety until after the match!Originally posted by Damavand View Post
I heard it’s the same time on Monday. Waiting for confirmation.

Damn that’s a good return, damet garm. Tbh I have never tried sports betting. Super interested in it but have always been weary of putting my banking info online.Originally posted by diz View Post
Did you place a bet???
I placed a $100 bet on 2 or more goals in the first half (with x3.55 odds, which was a good payoff!)

Not that I'm trying to get you into gambling (your parents would be very upset with me), but the online betting sites are super safe (they have to be or they would be shut down immediately). I use DraftKings in the US, very easy to use. Their banking transfers are faster than my work's direct deposit lol!Originally posted by arj42 View Post

Damn, okay that’s good to know. I’m in Canada and we have some famous betting companies here that my friends use. I have gambled a lot at casinos IRL. I will keep u updated. So when you make a win, they don’t take a fee or scam you in any way?Originally posted by diz View Post

Honestly this was our A team, Torabi, nourafkan, amiri, milad, majid. And probably ali karimi wont be starter!Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostIt's a friendly in Amman with many of our almost starters injured so I won't put too much weight on the game itself.

Yes it’s close to our A team, but I think at least one CB will change, maybe (hopefully) the LB, and 2 of our mids.Originally posted by Iran_19 View Post

In the US, no fees for the win from the gambling site (they make their money when you lose, like in a casino). But if you win above a certain amount (I think around $2000 or more), they are required to keep 20% of it and send it to the state for tax purposes. Gambling in the US is regulated by the states (not the federal government). You still have to report any of your winnings at the end of the year for your taxes.Originally posted by arj42 View Post

GN only looks competent when he inserts Ghoddos in the lineup.
Our team’s shape, posession, and decision-making was awful, and we made Jordan look a lot better than they actually were.
Remember how good we looked with friendlies pre-WC against Senegal & Uruguay, who were better teams? Testament to CQ’s tactical superiority. His scouting was also top-notch: who knew Taremi would become great as he has been, or Rezaeian would still be such a useful player?
Anyways, I hope GN doesn’t play Shoja & Kanaani together again, and goes back to Saman in the starting lineup. This was a perfect game for an opposition to watch and exploit our glaring weaknesses. Or else Quarterfinals exit it is.
