Watched the game finally after being in clinic during the game. Here are my thoughts and ratings:

Very bad position for a coach to be coaching out of fear of losing job after really only 7 months on the job

Either commit or go foreign coach from beginning

The biggest thing an international coach must do is keep the locker room and stars together and committed. It's psychological and GN doing a good job so far

Unfortunately this is what happens when you have a geda federation that'll rather save money and hire a domestic coach until shit hits the fan and then decides to hire a foreign coach, barely giving him any time to gel with the team

Tbf we will see but general loves Gholizadeh, he was starter against Russia and Kenya. We will see how Gholizadeh recovers from injury but he provides a lot of speed and technique for us. Look at difference he made vs England and Wales. I would prefer if Allahyar start on left side and Gholizadeh on right side, with Mohebi as super sub with his physicality.

As for Allahyar at left back, keep in mind Allahyar gets injured very easily. That's why in my opinion it's better to keep him at center forward where he can use his quick pace and technique to score a goal. Allahyar at defense gonna get injured and be out for 7 months after a tackle. I think having Jalali at LB with Allahyar as striker gives us more depth, especially because we are lacking HEAVILY in striker depth. Moghanlou is not good replacement for Sardar

He will be in next TM list also!

He just doesn't capitalize on serves and assists well. He works well for Sepahan at PGPL level but on national level we can do better

Allahyar wouldn't work at left back

He is a hustler and runs, is strong and pacy but he isn't tactically proficient enough to be a versatile player who can be put in completely different positions. He would be constantly out of position and messing up the defensive line

I guess Hajsafi is possibly the most versatile player Iran has had over the recent era.

He had no chances to capitalize on vs Bulgaria and played less deep than a striker usually would

I bet if he had that Mohebbi chance that was skied over he would have put it away or atleast on target

Honestly we should just put Moharrami at left back. We already have a lot of solid options at RB and Sadegh has shown he can use his left foot well. If not him, then Jalali is an upgrade over Haj Safi.

we want hajsafi changed is for the do or die matches in qf,semi, final...
There will be a time a super sub needs to come in and score a goal against ellite team CAN SHARIYAR DO THAT?
