Two things that come to mine when I think of Brentford.

I mean... you could be describing almost any residential suburb in zones 4 - 6, particularly in West and SW London

It has been a few years since I passed through Brentford so maybe it's changed dramatically. Perhaps that big Barratt Homes development where Ealing Rd meets the M4 is to blame. Yuppie Tory youth getting on the housing ladder with Help to Buy, invading what was always a working class Brentford.

What was the traumatic experience, I'm intrigued? Did you see Saman pulling wooden splinters out of his bum outside the Watermans Centre?

I don't want to say too much as it's a personal matter but all I will say is I attended a problematic Christmas party that led to my ex and I having a big fight and breaking up.

Inhabited by Tories? The whole borough of Hounslow is a Labour heartland and the two Brentford wards are Labour with 1 independent.

Are you sure you were in Brentford and not Brentwood

I'm talking more about the people that have started to move into the area.

The area has become gentrified in the last 10 years and is full of young aspirational conservative (socially and/or politically) families that can't afford to live in the surrounding areas like Richmond and Kew yet.

I say this because my ex gf lives in Kew and her brother lives in Brentford so I know the area well and unfortunately I've had to socialise with a lot of the people that lived in the area.

It sucks because it seems like he lost his starting spot going to the Asian Cup plus with Brentford's acquisition of Reguilon (whose been starting at LWB).

At the least, Saman should be starting at RWB ahead of Roesrslev.

seems not only did we come home empty handed from AC, all our major legionnaires seem to have dropped off their prior club forms/positions. Just great.

I'm happy he isnt because its less pressure on him from those who would hold it against him. I'm not sure you are getting this part of it which led to our back and forth.

I made no such implication between value of Iranians in or outside of Iran. I hand money to family members who go there to give to those in need the only way I know I can give back for now. People in Iran drive the countrys future forward more than anything I can do out here and I acknowledge that.

It sounds like you think Ghoddos plays for Iran for personal gain which is a not so nice thing to think about our star player.

You first called it a long answer and now its 20 words, so which is it? Orignial post short and problematic, long replies all danced around its fundamental problem. You are way too intelligent to not see to which I was referring. Just acknowledge the problems rather than keep moving off the debate.

I doubt Ghoddos gains anything from this obvious truth being revealed to the world. He gains the continuing honor and rewards of playing for a NT and in a WC. Playing in a NT does keep your stock relevant in a big way. Ask a football agent and they'll tell you.

If everybody in Iran who knows what a free society is left Iran, the only people left would be the regime's folks and religious zealots from Afghanistan and Pakistan and our country would deteriorate. Not sure of the relevance...Saman did not leave out of his own volition and Particularly hypocritical coming from someone who already lives in a rich free country. Iranians who choose to leave Iran are no less than those who choose to stay.
