Lol...no one wants him back. He's been a failure at Bayer and a benchwarmer in Roma. Him returning to Bayer and being surplus is of no benefit to him. It's also highly unlikely Bayer will repeat their win this year. His high wages are also an issue. He needs to go somewhere where they are willing to build an attack around him...meaning a lower end team. He's mostly seen as a 3rd string player now with liability due to being injury prone. Gone are the days he commanded big trade attention and represented a potentially marquee signing.

He rotted away for 3-4 extra years in Zenit and only left because of Russia starting a war and the threat of a lawsuit from a single mother. He would have probably stayed in Russia for the rest of his life if he could. He then went to Bayer out of shape, with zero dedication and effort and managed to fuck up a massive opportunity after Schick got injured.

He's into horse riding and that's his passion. Football is an afterthought. There's nothing wrong with that and we should come to terms with that.

Damn that 1v1 he had…. Wish he connected better with his left like his first goal vs Bahrain a few year ago for the crucial WCQ game. Was under pressure too but that’s what separates class vs world class players.
