"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Basically a B team, but this one is coached by Ali Doosti Mehr not Hossein Abdi (who coaches our U17 main team).

Surprised we have b teams at this level.
also surprised we’re losing like this considering Doostimehr is one of the few consistently good youth coaches we have at this level.

The main U17 team is in a camp in Turkey now.

✅️ Hossein Abdi: We had all the necessary facilities during our training camp in Turkey.

🔹️ The head coach of the national youth football team mentioned that we achieved a high percentage of our goals during the training camp in Turkey.

🔸️ According to Iranian Academy media, Hussein Abdi initially stated: Fortunately, the training camp in Turkey provided excellent conditions in terms of quality, weather, and the football field. We played two matches against a team from the Turkish Super League. The first match ended with a 2-0 score and took place exactly one day after our arrival in Turkey. The second match also concluded with a 10-0 score.

🔹️ The head coach of the youth national team added: Although we had the opportunity for more goals, the most important focus for us in these two matches was tactical review, goal scoring, not conceding goals, and executing training under competitive conditions. Overall, we achieved a high percentage of our goals in this training camp. In my opinion, we met all the criteria for a good team and training camp in Turkey.

🔸️ Hossein Abdi concluded by stating: We will organize the next training camp in one of the northern cities of the country according to the arrangements I have made. I hope to elevate the players' quality in terms of physical, mental, and tactical aspects. Soon, we will return to our beloved country to continue our journey towards reaching the peak of success, which includes the upcoming World Cup competitions in two months.

Maybe some players on the fringe that may have a chance to get into the main team. But it's a good thing we are sending our B team to these kind of tournaments. Actually some foresight by IFF.

I dont think its a B team. Its Doostimehr u16s/15s. They are playing a couple years up in this tournament, at that age makes a big difference

Reminds me of the Big Soccer debates - fans arguing "You beat our C team, not even our B team!"

But yes, age makes a huge difference here but these kids (esp. the likes of Ehsan Baloch are up next after our U17 team). So it's good they are playing against bigger kids.
