Man it's unacceptable how much our teams suck this year all around. Everyone talked about how quality of PGPL increased from 10 years ago but our top 3 teams casually struggle against random Iraqi clubs and we send teams like Nassaji to ACL to struggle against Indian clubs.

By the way what's up with the amount of red cards we got this ACL season?? Nassaji got like 2, PP got like 3-4, Sepahan got like 4-5...what's going on??

Same Iraqi team that sepahan tied and beat, also beat al-ittihad. Based on Iranian hyperbolic logic, Saudi league is in decline and the Iraqi league is now the top league in Asia.

The reality is that arab countries even like iraq are investing in their grass root clubs and theyll see the fruits of it in the future. Our national football will not get better unless we invest in smaller cities and academy's. And our only hope for tm is that we suddenly see a spring of foreign talent who have iranian heritage.

exactly.. but the difference between middle eastern countries and latin american is that football is apart of their culture , so despite their economic conditions they expect a certain level of funding and success. iran isnt the same. Iran is a rich country being run by corrupt people, the gov couldnt give a damn about the poeple let alone football and sports.thats why i think we have seen the peak of football in iran.
