I watched the whole game and despite having possession we had no game plan and our players IQ is so low! And that is vs 28th team of Asia!
We were lucky this time we didn't even face Saudi, Uzbeks, Japan, Korea in elimination round!


None of these players qualify to take spot of any senior players in tm for 2026wc.

I don’t even know what to say. Keeping 4 clean sheets against teams such as Saudi then concede against Hong Kong?!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I woke up this morning. Enayati beside not being a good coach has the stinkiest luck man!! I’ve never seen a coach to face two impossibles twice with only conceding two goals in a month. Age for an international squad isn’t as big of an issue as it was before. 2007-2015 were all very weak teams. I thought 2000 was one of our best (in terms of talent) but the team had no discipline thanks to players and Jalal Talebi.

Pay someone fulltime to nag the players during the game to not argue with the ref.

Remind the players every 5 minutes to play until the whistle.

If anyone breaks the rules they need to run 10km everyday for 3 days.

The players themselves say repeatedly that apart from Queiroz era, the nutrition and fitness work in camps was a joke. Be sure that UAE, Qatar, Saudi, will be having intensive physical and psychological regimes in the run up to the cup. Tournaments are a different ball game compared to 10 years ago, and especially with Saudi we can expect a huge push

We are not top 10 in conditioning or fitness specifically - in particular our domestic players. Possibly even worse. Taremi is game fit but even he has run out of steam in match 3 for our big tournaments
