This is due to the UEFA association coefficient. Each season, each league gets points, and is ranked by how well their clubs have done in international competitions. This ranking affects the coming seasons, ie how many qualification spots does a league get and what kind, direct etc. The big 4/5 leagues have some fixed spots afaik.Originally posted by Iran_19 View PostComment
