As manager you need to play your best and vs the opponent
There are JB, Ghaedi, Mohebi, Gholi, Sardar, and Taremi
For me i exclude JB as starter in this stage of career and decide 2 between 3( Gholi, Ghaedi, Mohebbi) depending to opponent factors( physicality, speed, etc)

Issue with him is he gets injured before every major tournament we have played.
If he was fully healthy before WC 2022, or Asia Cup 2019 and 2023, we would have done much better.
Same goes for him and Taremi.

If we had a proper CB, with those 3 we could go farther.

It would be extremely difficult to justify Gholi and Ghayedi both being on the pitch at once... Literally the only reason ARJ starts so often is because of his immense defensive workrate.

I don't think it would be a bad idea to test Mohebbi and Taremi as two strikers up top with Azmoun coming off the bench and Gholi at RW with Ghayedi at LW...

Just wish Ghayedi would stop wasting his time and go to europe already

Over the last year or so, Mohebi has grown into a tremendous winger IMO. Either left side or right side he brings a lot of pace, and he defends very well. His dribbling has improved too. including his finishing. I would go as far as to say he is our best player after our iconic duo. I would keep him as winger. Azmoun still too good even with his gheimeh calves.

Our biggest problem is CB, LB, and a proper replacement for Ghoddos since he stopped taking football seriously. Could go pretty far if those are addressed properly.

He actually played before as a left-back in a friendly for Iran against Uzbekistan. He can easily play in wing as a defender, midfielder or attacking

Do you think he can actually have a consistent/succesful career in Europe with his tiny physique? Would they even consider him in any of the top 5-7 leagues in Europe?

For Ghaedi its basically too late to go to Europe, he's almost 27. Taremi leaving to Europe at 28 is an outlier. Iranian players usually don't last long in Europe if they don't go at a young age.

Not to mention whatever number he puts up in UAE league are gonna be a hard sell to any serious Euro team. Look at Azmoun, barely managed to bang in 4 goals in Serie A but won golden boot in ACL 2 and like 40 G/A in league.

Only ones professional enough to last that I can recall are Taremi and Haj Safi in recent memory. Not to mention Ghaedi himself seems money motivated, and less about career

gaedy had offer when he was in ss from portugal club when he was very young. IT WAS DONE DEAL then deal collapsed because he has metal plate in his feet he can not pass physical in europe. Ss confirmed this back then.

I've seen this mentioned but its pretty hard to believe. There are a lot of Euro players who basically have full metal knees. Our very own gholizadeh and moharrami have metal plates in their knees from ACL reconstruction.

That's what ss said when he was really young.
And he has not gone to europe since.

I am sure if he want go play in hungry league there is no problem.
