You refer to the current coach as "The General", while calling the previous coach an "idiot?" Yeah, OK.

That was 16 years ago and i hope he has learned his lesson and we play offensive this time in KO-stages.
Maybe some better offensive performance too so we’re not losing at half to Uzbekistan or China.

So does everyone lol. But we haven't won anything in a long time now have we?
If we want to increase our chances we need to play like yesterday. CQ style got us nowhere in the end.

I'm curious about the excuse that will be made when Iran, under the "general," gets knocked out in the quarterfinals of the Asian Cup. Iran lacks world-class offensive build-up play and therefore needs to rely on tactical prudence instead of headless offensive play (all in the name of playing offensive).

I take winning over anything else.
Who are "we"? "Lack of offensive tactics" resulted in us having twice the amount of shots as all our opponents in GS. We did dominate in the GS.
Our problem is we repeatedly get cautious in do or die game, and it has cost us everytime.

Forget about "tactical prudence". It has only caused us misery in the past tournaments.

"Headless offensive play" you call it when we create 10-15 chances in a game?
I hope we continue with it in AC. Sooner or later those chances will go in.

Didn't watch those games, so can't say if they dominated their opponents or not...They did beat Kyrgizstan thou, not that it says much.
But judging by their game vs us, they can beat the other asian teams IMO.

Tarsoo coaching in QF cost us the title. Had we continued to play the same way as in GS, we would have won 100%.

That russian team looked weak because Iran made them look weak.
That same russian team will beat the other asian top teams.

We will win the AC if we continue to play offensively, like yesterday.
I hope the General has learned his lesson from 16 years ago & we don't play like tarsoos when it matters.

🀫 Keep it on the hush-hush. No truth please. This was a great Russian team, don't mention that many of these players have very few caps and all from the Russian league ...

And Japan 1-1 with Uruguay almost done. South Korea winning 2-1 against Colombia, both from Son.

No surprise, as they both have good football program and advanced from their group in qatar. But we don’t need program or plan or competence to win Asian Cup… we have a secret weapon: tHe GeNeRaL.

In terms of quality, Samad Marfaviand Amir Ghalenoei are quite similar, with Marfavi being the student of Amir Ghalenoei

Every four years, we tend to enter a phase of false hope and optimism, with various members "promising" this is the tournament we win the AC.

We'll be out in the quarter-finals. This was not even Russia's B-team from what I gather and they haven't really even played together before. Japan, South Korea, Australia and Saudi Arabia are far better than the Russian team we faced.
