The U.S. has a good, promising team, but find it amusing how Lalas refers to some of the opponents as merely an afterthought. But the funny thing is that he often turns out to be wrong. He wasn't a very good player, but he's got a job because he has decent cheerleading skills.Originally posted by Equalizer View Post
He always does! I can't fathom why he's a fixture in these programs; perhaps due to some affirmative action category that protects talentless gingers with Greek ancestry.

Been super excited and nervous tonight for the game and I can’t sleep. I am in work in the morning and then finishing early to come home and watch the game.
They are showing it at the college I work in but I didn’t want to be surrounded by loads of England fans and want to watch it in peace.

Working overnight tonight and shift finishes just as the game begins. Never felt so strange before an Iran game before. Excitement, Resignation, Nauseous, Dread, Hopeful, Curious all at the same time. I hope they do something for the people and despite what people are saying I hope they don't embarrass themselves tomorrow like Qatar did today.

After I heard Ehsan Hajsafi’s sincere message to our people who are fighting and who’ve lost loved ones, I got a tiny bit of that excitement back in my gut towards the World Cup..
It’s still not the same because all of our hearts are with our people. But I guess being a little hopeful isn’t a bad thing.
I think the best ways for our guys to show their support is 1) Not sing the anthem 2) Wear black wristbands and 3) Not celebrate when they score goals.
I think if they don’t celebrate and act like they show 0 emotion will 100% make international headlines. That’s a great way to spread the message that they’re with the people and that they’re not for i.r.

It would be more effective if they take a knee during anthem. I really hope they send a very direct and clear message.Originally posted by teammelli91 View PostI think the best ways for our guys to show their support is 1) Not sing the anthem 2) Wear black wristbands and 3) Not celebrate when they score goals.
