[VIDEO] "Tiki Taka" Football Style created by Barcelona!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiki-taka
Tiki-taka (commonly spelled tiqui-taca in Spanish; Spanish pronunciation: [ˈtiki ˈtaka] ) is a style of play in football that has evolved from Total Football[1] and is characterised by short passing and movement, working the ball through various channels, and maintaining possession. The style is primarily associated with La Liga club FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team under managers and Vicente del Bosque and also Pep Guardiola, ex-manager of FC Barcelona. Tiki-taka moves away from the traditional thinking of formations in football to a concept derived from zonal play.

    Thanks Webmaster.......
    Tiki-Taka...may be our own : " Khers Vasat " !!,
    Beside form obviouse successess....
here are some advantages such system has...
    ..
    1- Greater Time of possession.
2-close vicinity ball movment, less energy waisted, more available energy for later in the game.
3-Greater number of team mates closer to the ball, less chance of losing the ball.
4-Easier Advancement of the ball ,while keeping the possession in close vicinity.
5-Not allowing the opposing defenses to prepare for the ball, ordefending as it is hard to know where the ball is headed.
6-reducing individual mistakes or unnccessary loss of the ball ,by pre-arranged/prepracticed ,close distance movements.

the most important issue on tiki-taka is the constant movement of the players without the ball, allowing/creating options for the one with the ball. as long as they move, the create choices for the player with the ball. this can be done by our own players too. afterall they too have 2 legs just like the barca players.

but the second most important factor is the "stopping/trapping/control" ability of the players. you can be in the right spot and the perfect pass can be given to you. if you cant control the ball fully and totally, you allow that extra milisecond to your marker or defenders to either tangle with you or even dispossess you.
this is what is lacking in OUR players. they dont have such control of the ball. when they recieve a pass, often they need an extra touch to bring the ball into total control. and sometimes they try to control it, but the ball bounces a meter away, which allows time/space for the marker to get his foot in.
if our players learned to control balls with their first touch, they will progress tremendously

one complaint I have with TOO MUCH tiki-taka is while it is very pleasing and loevly and all, they allow the opponent defense to reorganize and form a wall in front of their box. and as blasphemic as it sounds, Xavi (my favorite) has a lot to answer for this. sometimes a quick through pass gets the job done rather than a string of 23 quick passes left and right!
and one of the reasons we may see Thiago get more pitch time is that he is a bit more into direct play than mere displays of tiki-taka.

as a long time barca fan I must admit although I love their ball possession and quick triangles and their resoluteness on sticking to POSITIVE football, they have always come up suspect and vulnerable to physically defensive teams who pack their box and half (chelsea, inter, madrid, AC milan, ... etc etc) simply because they dont have any physical forwards who have a decent height. and I fear they are going to get the same shut doors against AC Milan next week too!

once they foolishly sold Eto'o, they havent had a good tall, physical forward who suited their overall team tactics (Ibra merely played for himself, becoz he has an ego the size of a freaking oil tanker!)
