the system is so inefficient, so corrupt and so mismanaged, that it is not possible to expect much from an individual, or blame a single individual for any/all shortcomings.

We're just to quick to jump the gun and shoot people who have just started their job. How U-23's failure can be blamed on CQ? and how our strikers' incompetence in converting their golden opportunities and scoring goals can be the new coach's fault? He has only had 2 national games coaching experience with TM and we're already trying to find ways to prove him wrong and teach him a few lessons! A bit too harsh, ain't it?

I share your sentiment Keno jan , except I don't know about the last part. I don't really think our esteemed members here WANT/INTEND to incriminate or fault TM coaches to score a point or two.

I have always supported the TM Coaches and had great respect for their profession and their tasks, but that is NOT to say that they (the coaches) are immune from mistakes and poor judgment. There are some with weird mentality in them. I seriously suspect that a few of them have twisted logic and personalities leading them to act irrationally. Almost all are coaches are dogmatic and stubborn , this includes greats like Ferguson , Wenger and Mourinho. I think one needs traces of insanity in his character to become a successful coach.

As far as CQ is concerned, frankly, I have seen nothing in TM under him to like so far. Not the tactics, nor the players selection nor the results.

But I still do not hold him truly accountable.

However, his selection of this particular period to go on 15 days leave is absolute madness, regardless to his reason(s). The first WCQ match is just a month away , the league is starting , which is a great chance to see players in action and God forbids , he might actually select new blood (according to his own claim) yet the man is having the time of his life in Copacabana and Lisbon !!!!

And when w just scrape thru the Indonesia match , we will go through the same old story . Since his pre-prepared list of players played such a feeble game , he cannot be held responsible because he was busy being on vacation , leaving him little time to prepare for the match.!!! And in case we draw the match , heaven forbids, the wrath will be targeted towards inadequate preparation , incompetent IFF , ending with cursing Joumhoriye Islami and dear old Mr. President ( I mean Dr. Ahmadinejad here, bless his cotton socks , not that old smiling fool )

Farhad Majidi announcing his mighty willingness to play for TM does not imply CQ's intention in selecting him, however I still believe if Majidi is still in super-form why shouldn't he be invited for the time being? Having him play while he is on his top form won't damage the lesser ready and talented players, n the contrary it will create more fierce competition between them all, thus more enthusiastic strikers!

we're trying to say by 2013 final stage games guys like karimi would be pretty much out of commission with all their 1) league games, 2) ACL games, 3) hazfi games AND 4) team melli games.
and now, we have to ADD to this list?

adding majid means less chances for guys like afshin, kevah rezaei, ... who shd be our investment for the next 10 years!!!!!
isnt it bad enough that karimi is now making the entry for the likes of Mosalman or even aliasgari difficult?

Its obvious and expected that finding the optimal squad and coaching assistant selection was gonna be one of the toughest tasks facing CQ..! a task which requires Tenure on the job much more than others..! Those changes will come as well with time..! For now, obviously he is busy with more important tasks at hand of qualifying TM to 2014 and then worry about the next youth level competitions..!
besides i dont think the guy gets nearly paid enough to really give a heck..! (based on some torabian's comments..!)

Just because we think IFF is bad we can not ignore others failures.
Everyone( that i know of) agree that IFF is main culpirte and responsible overall. I have already talked about failure of Mansoorian in same forum. That does not mean others may not have share of responsibilities.
Mohammadi is not a qualified coach for any national team. He got his first job via connection with Moeini of IFF but he failed with U17 and Iran was eliminated in first stage. Once again IFF and Moeini pushing him for U20 job and according to Mohammadi he is reporting to Queiroz.
If CQ is responsible to select a U20 coach but is busy with TM and has no enough extra time to pay attention to U20 then that is his failure
About Mansoorian i have expressed my views but if you think he is best option we had then i leave it at that.

I do not think in QC contract, he has the sole responsibility for Omid team.....I believe, as far as Omid and U20 is concerned, he has been given a consulting duties...and more of a supervision...and not total responsibility.......more over, when he is just arrived and he is told to pick mansourian for his assistantship to TM.....and IFF recommanded mansourian for Omid team, and mansourian also is the interim coach, as well as previouse assistant....and just won the game against Russia.........put all those together, and the fact that QC did not know any domestic coach , and had to have a coach for the up coming games......you be the judge !......these was no reason to fight IFF's recommandation.
