Ahmadzadeh did very well so far as a coach. very promising and TM would be a good experience for him personally too.
Besides I also believe in his abilities

a fantastic peice of news that I just read in jahane football:

In case Ahmadzadeh is not convinced to go back to malavan, he may become daei's assistant.
I tell you from what I have seen from this young coach in malavan as well as our youth teams, this will be a very good decision.
and certainly gives more credibility to the bench at TM.

    I'll keep my fingers crossed.

a couple of points ali jan:

1- what karimi said was taken out of context as the heading , in the media.
if you read the whole piece you'd know he meant: he doesnt expect to be called to TM just becoz he is karimi or was daei's mate. he doesnt expect special treatment in selection.
    that's all.
but knowing the scum media in Iran, they twist everything just so they make it controversial. hence creating trouble and .... !

2- as for daei's criteria for selection, I think we shd wait till it's done.
based on who are called and who are played, we can figure out what lies behind these selections and rosters.
    before-hand we cant judge him.
I , personally, doubt beyond the first 2-3 games we'd see such a strong remnant of the old guard in the main team.

the first 2-3 games will be mixed with some tendencies to show impartiality or loyalties or fairness or ... etc.
but I think we'd see the REAL team that Daei truly MEANS TO SELECT by the fourth game.

There is too much emphasis on this hashiye , the good old Persian tradition instead of getting on with the job and preserving National interest , or at least Team Melli interest.

If people shift their attention to proper conduct , attention to ethics , professional attitude , positive thinking , support , desire to succeed , motivation and aspiration , then the Daei and others like him will have much greater chance to succeed.

If we build an atmosphere of animosity , hatred , personal vendetta , environment of deception and back-stabbing , then surely his chances of success and his motivation will be much lower and failure will be a possibility.

"You get what you deserve" is a good motto..... If people or football fans are antagonist and spread the sermon of doom , then I suppose that is what they deserve ..... failure.

Who creates hashiye ? why do they create hashiye ? what type of agenda they have in their bag ? should Daei be concerned with his teams tactical and technical preparation or deal with morons who spread rumors that he parked his car in a NO Parking zone , or he got a message from AliAbadi to select Player Folan Folan for the team????

Daei like you and me has feelings and emotions. He will not and should not accept people targeting his name and family's reputation and then expect him to deliver the goods. In Ideal situation , I wish he had a heart of stone , but that is not the case. So , taking about hashiye and things like that will certainly brew this atmosphere of unprofessionalism , atmosphere of animosity and mistrust before a ball being kicked.

I am talking about positive thinking rather than the doom (no pun intended to Agha Peyman Gol) scenario.

I am not singling out Daei either, this also should apply to all coaches in Team Melli. Both Mayeli-Kohan and Ghalenoi got extremely bad treatment from the fans in my opinion. People with less than a fraction of the ability skills and dedication of these people , spread hatred and disgusting propaganda not to mention personal insult and profanity , essentially forgetting that anyone assigned such a difficult task is exposed to extreme pressure and liable to fail.

I am a firm believer that football is a culture and success is like a circle of chains , where a break in a chain will spell failure. Fans mentality and education , knowledge and behavior is an essential part of that chain.

I am afraid that from track record , the Iranian fans have not exactly been exemplary to say the least.....

    Ba darood.

    Majid Jaan;

I rather be 100 times wrong and come here publicly claim I was wrong, compare to TM shows another performance like WC 2006. I counted so much for TM performance in WC 2006 to revive the lost connection of the Iranian who live abroad back to Iran. All of that was dashed. Having said all of that, i can connect the dots and see further than tip of my nose based on the past events.

You will see in the next 6 months, if a single word of negativity comes out of my mind. I think any coach (even if it is braghe choghondar) deserves a certain amout of time until you see the resutl of his work.

In Daie's case, the situation is different in certain sense. There is a background, history, if you will "baggage" that comes with Daie. God forbid if team doesn't do well. You will see. No player in the Iranian stadium were sweard at like Daie. Rigth or wrong there is a lot of contraversy around Mr. Daie. Fans in Anazali, Azadi, Isfahan, Ahwaz insulted him in the stadiums and thier team got punished. Do you think all of that is all of a sudden gone. When Karimi says, I do'nt expect to be invited to TM, you take that lightly. I think Daie is smart enough to invite him regardless, but that is the undercurrent. Now if DAie is succesful, all of these will be forgotten, considering the short term historical memroy of we "iranians". If it isn't watch out. What you saw around TM during GN era is nothing. I saw Rezai and Hashemmeyan say now they will come and play and all that. That isn't a good sign. To me it seems the old guard is back. Reality is the 1998 TM generation is done and out (Bagheri, Estili, Daie, Kia even). Iranina TM needs new blood and I hope I am wrong but doubt it if Mr. Daie will make it happen.

I am sure there will a lot of hasheeyeh around the team Melli if team starts to loose or not do well. Please read my original post. Look at PP now (depsite being in the first place still so much hasheeyeh) or SS under Mr. Hejazi. Pooladi, Ravankhah, Maneeyee were the same players. Compare them now with the time they played under Hejazi what is the difference (team didn't do well in the first couple of games and Hasheeyeh creeped in).

According to " IRAN " news paper's interview with Daei, : He said, next week,he is going to coach Saipa against Al-Kuwait club, in which he will know about Kuwait, since Al-kuwait has 7 Ntional team players.

1- mirza ? he's waaaay out of form and I think if we are to choose 3 top GK's mirza has NO place among them.

2- turkey-iran's politics and social clashes shd not be mixed with what a coach can do for our TM, in football.
in fact denizli's always expressed his love and adoration for Iran, iranians and our culture. same with our football.
but what matters the most is what he has done in our football and how he raised pp's game from dulldrums to a team of quality. even if they didnt win a triphy, he transformed the team totally.
that means a lot when we consider what TM needs at the moment.
his familiarity with our football and players is an added bonus.

    A) to start with, I dont know much about the style of football played at saipa, under him. All I know is he has some really motivated youngsters like ansarifard and ashtiani and ... who despite being relative unknowns, display good football. But is saipa's style an attacking one ?
How do their midfield and defense transition? smoothly and close to other lines , or typical Iranian style of haphazzard deimi style?
how are they with the concept of COUNTER-ATTACK ? what do they do ?
how is their overall TEAM-WORK? or are they based on individuals' brilliance?

    B) so would daei turn TM into a younger TM ?
I'm sure he'd keep some of the old guard like kia, VH and even karimi.
but I'm not so sure guys like rajabzadeh, enayati, even khatibi get a call up anymore. despite what the rumors say.
(I personally, am sure of Omid Sharifinasab who is among the most under-rated and under-estimated players in our football, will not get a call up either. the guy is a work horse, is creative and very talented. but due to his origins and club affiliations, never got his due. but unfortunately he's getting by in years and must be around 29-30 )

    C) I absolutely believe in ONE thing: Daei will be good for our woes at TM with regards to scoring goals.
you dont become the world's top most scorer of goals with such limited talent, for nothing. you know he has compensated the required ball skills with great attitude, professionalism, hard work and an effective approach to the matter of scoring goals.
So I truly believe he'll turn things around, given 2-3 months.

    D) another issue is the freekicks and all the little nuances of football that get lost in a general approach by a coach. we know Daei, in the final 2-3 years of his playing career was actually pretty good at set pieces. again, in spite of his lack of skills. which shows with intelligent dedication and application he rectified this matter. which leads me to believe he can and will do the same with his players here as well.

    E) despite much of rumors, I dont think daei will have any problems calling up guys like nekunam, even mobaali.
In fact if he's wise enough, he'll do exactly opposite and give them more time. if only to show he's gotten over the past and make a point of fairness.

but finally, I must reiterate, while it's nice to see him get recognized and shown respect, he MUST NOT risk all by accepting the coaching during the second round of WCQ's. not for him and certainly not for TM's sake.
I really hope he does force the IFF to continue their search for the coach.
    1) I have a feeling Daie will do well with TM

    2) It will be nice to see him invite back Mobali and Mirzapour

    3) The team should take on an attacking style football in the spirit of Daie

Dr D. to be honest for some reason I don't feel too excited about Denizli being considered for the TM job. Turkey is not necessarily Iran's best friend so having a head coach from their country would only send out a message of inferiority. I had a Turkish roommate who really seemed undermining Iran team's ability to perform football, specially contrasting TM 2006 with Turkey 2002.

    OK.
you see, ... now, I have a problem with this !
and he hasnt even STARTED to coach !!!!!!

the gist of the above news piece is that he wont be available for his FIRST TM camp and training !
becoz saipa has its ACL game.

and then, again due to saipa's other ACL game, he wont be available for TM's training and test match against bahrain !
which makes our official and VITAL kuwait match his FIRST match with the TM !!!!!
Am I the only one with ominous feelings about this? becoz sure as hell he is no Wenger or Capelo or ... w years of experience as top int'l coaches, to be able to hold both jobs of such importance in two important tournaments ( I'm even leaving IPL games aside ! ).

THIS is exactly why ppl say "dual duties dont do d deed" ( well, actually, I just made it up. ..... but the principle stands true anyway ).

I dont want to start off on the wrong foot on Daei as TM coach, but boy, does he make it hard for me to sit quiet !
I do recognize saipa's ACL games are very important.
but so are TM's training sessions, considering they havent had many, they lack coordination among a gazillion other lacks, and the coach shd start working with the team as much as possible, as soon as possible.

I love the man and dont have to justify my stance in regards with him.
but THIS mess ( above ) is NOT how one shd start their career as a nat'l team coach.

ali jan, I didnt say only forwards will benefit from daei, in scoring matters.
but as a striker, he knows what kind of service is required to put strikers in a good scoring position. and that means directing not only the forwards, but also the midfield.

    ======================

what shd we expect from his line up ?
these are purely assumptions and nothing more.

1- I think he will call up all those players that were somehow connected to the rumors of disrespect or alienation of him at TM. meaning karimi, VH, mobaali will get the call up definitely. hell ... even enayati has an outside chance to get the call.
this is to prove he is unbiased and will not bring in personal matters into business at hand.

but what I am really worried about is he may OVER-DO this bit and retain them, inspite of under-performances, just to appear just !
or maybe the traditional "roo dar bayesti" will have a say in the matter. at least in the first couple of games I dont see him subbing karimi out if karimi plays his lazy football ! which is not a good decision.

2- secondly, I am inclined to think he will value physical fitness and hunger more than ball skills in his team. so going beyond the first 2-3 games that deals with him coming to terms with the team and does the necessary politically correct call-ups and line ups, expect to see more tough and rough work-men in the team than artistic and flamboyant tricksters.
    is that good ?
I dont know. but it certainly IS a style, especially in the isles.

4- int'l exposure to various styles of football
5- familiarity with the nuances and nitty-gritty of asian football and our usual opponents, including all the peripheral issues involved
6- given our goal scoring problem, he's in ideal position to help
7- his ambition/hunger and motivation to push his limits and reach higher
8- his far superior professional attitude compared to almost all TM members ( w exception of Kia and perhaps VH )
    9- ...etc.
these are his plus points that can really help our situation.

But as for other matters, I am not so sure.
    important matters like :
    1- tactical variation
2- strategic reading of a game
3- ability to avoid choking in high pressure situations

such factors that cripple even some of the more experienced and better coaches.
and unfortunately, these are the ones that I'm not so sure about his capabilities ! and while in the present round ( 2nd ) he may not be put in extreme cases of these, in the next stage you can be sure he'll face it almost on every game basis.
With all the respect I think 1 and 3 aren't applicable. IF anything there is a lot of negative atmosphere around Mr. Daie.
For item number 6, Payman jaan, goal scoring isn't just the center forward. Next time look and see how many of Iranian players are in the 18 yard box of the opposition when we attack? Or how far is the second wave of attack from the forward line. Goal scoring isn't just Samereh or Enayati's job (althought they have to be opportunistic and make it count). So I don't think MR. Daie or X or Y can bring Samereh, Khalili, Rajabzadeh and practice with them separtely and our goal scoring problem will be solved. While this needs to be done, it won't be enough.

One of the positive aspects that I see about his selection is that he knows IPL very well. He has played and coached against IPL players and surely knows about the ressources (players) of the league that would be interesting candidates for TM.

The main problem in my opinion is his relation with some of the players. He did not have everyone's respect in the locker room as the skipper, why would it be different as a coach?

May be the best quality Daei has, at this point.....Is,to creat chemistry, and mesh the team in very short time we have......I did not see,any other candidates , being able to do it faster......he already knows , in and out what is going on inside the locker rooms of TM....and knows what had happened in the past that were not pleasent........
So, at least for the Kuwait game only...he is the best selection.....and may be for the same reason, he is the best selection for this round !!
    ....................
But if God forbids, and we lose ,and get eliminated by the syria, kuwait, and UAE..............then we will have the whole 7 and half years to hit ourseleves on the head !

, Although, we should all be supportive of our new head coach, and indeed he may help us......but, for some reasons, I do not see us going far with him.............

    1- He is too emotional.
2-he is not a smart man ( there has been too many indications )
3-he has little to no experince in coaching.
4-he can not handle ,the hashieh , that we have so much in Iran.
5-he is too young to have the complete package, and balance.
6-he is not consistant, and went so much up and down with siapa.
7-he may also cause some frictions withing TM locker room.
8-The respect and loyality of all players in him , is seriousely in doubt.
    9-he has no manegerial skills.
10-he is a of the kind, that may resign.
