It is either or, not both. I want to see even if you think for both of those reasons you support him, which one you value more.

He Took us to the World cup with 1 game in Hand,
In times needed he have shown what a great coach he is,

In some not so important moments like friendlys he have put less effort in it wich ended in loss,

But when we needed results i allways am sure he will get it out of the players,
HE is the man to coach Iran in the World cup

first of all I really believe that this TM is so inconsistant that you ll never know which TM will show up on match day....
but I think overall, this poll would ve been more usefull after the Costa Rica match.....It s only a friendly but still it will be important.

Costa Rica friendly will be a massive game for Branko as we think about it as a friendly but Branko sees it as a BIG

A HUGE oppurtunity to cool down the media and the fans over his perfomances

A win agasint Costa rica will take away alot of pressure from him

+ Give team melli hope ahead of the World cup, Costa rica is a good team and will bring quite a strong squad, even their strongest and we can only impress by winning a putting up a good perfomance

Cant wait to see how Team Melli will play

I still want him out we need some one that will change the line up and put in players that will get us result not the same players doing the same thing. what will we do if our germen players get injurd? what will we do if Rezaie gets injured?
and who subs for Merzapoor?
has this so called coach tried to work with our sub for more then 10 min in friendly games? all I see is the same thing in every game him putting our (a) team in and our (a) team getting weaker.
look at what s.korea did to us after having their new choach start with them? it took their new choach just 2 days to bring them a win over us.
and we have better players then them do we not?

First one. He constantly had success with Iran. He got the results in competitions we deserve for over 3 years now. Some say that is nothing special, but I don't know any TM coach of the last two and a half decades who had so much success. And if you look around the world, you realize that that it is indeed a rare gift to have such a coach.

I know it wont make a jut of difference in some ppl, but a very quick reminder for friends:

remindre 1- asian tourneys and asian teams are one level.
WORLD cup is a totally different level and standards, which requires a much HIGHER and proficient mentality, exprtise and ability.

reminder 2 - even ppl like MK and poorheidari have got the EXACT same "results & trophies" for us.
especially MK, who had a far inferior, extremely under-exposed, inexperienced team under him, for a fraction of fees and support, at much tougher odds.

with the present batch of players ( considering their experience, exposure, standards, ..... ) and such high and easy odds of qualification, even a crummy coach like MK would have done as well and some.

and I still stand by what I wrote about the poll, reasons why some friends try to confuse asian games with WC games, or why some others try ( hard as they attempt ) to paint a false image of branko by exaggerating many issues.

Peyman Jan, with all due respect, this poll is in NO way flawed - actually, it's one of the best polls i've seen in a long time.

Obviously if you simply don't support Branko, you weren't meant to vote! Not all polls or posts can include BOTH sides of the story, can they now DD?

Judging by your posts, one would have thought that you understood this notion best

Either way - in major tournaments, we have not been let down. On the flip side, it is also too late. I wish to vote for both options, but can't, so I won't vote.

but then again, why always in Azadi???
WE KNOW we can beat many many teams in Azadi, but we ll be away in WC and the last away friendly match we played was at AS Roma which was god knows when.....04, unless u wanna count Korea or Japan which really doesn t change anything since we play there more frequently

first of all thanks for your replies.

DDjan this poll as mentioned in the post is basically for the supporters of Branko. It was important for me to know what is the main reason of support and as I had guessed the majority believe that it is too late to replace him. I think this is very logical. By no means I think that Branko is anything special and infact I am more inclining towards a conservative coach that has used all of the gray matter that he has for team Iran andhe doesnt have anything more. I also believe that we will go to WC and would be lucky if we get 1-3 points...just because of his mindset....but the poll to me is really informative and shows that even Branko fans dig him not any ore for his knowledge but because it is too late and that is pathetic for team Iran!

FDjan. I am not a die hard parvin fan but definitely a die hard persepolis fan. I feel that Parvin is the most responsible person for Persepolis's poor showings on the field on the other hand he is one of the most important features who has saved that team we call persepolis...i am a die hard fan of whats right is right!

I think 186 also was right in his assesment of Iran's big oscillations in its game.

overall a team with this kind of a preperation and that kind of a coach with even his supporters lagging as such statistically speaking will just have to be the cinderela team to shine! Maybe by midnite Branko will turn into a pumkin!!

but one ting is for sure I would be a big branko fan if they are going to bring mayeli ( the most likely candidate in the rishopashmolmolook called iri wouldnt u agree DD?

from what i think Branco has been one of our best coaches. I think he has proven himself because TM was kinda wanky when he came. What i mean is that when they had the media behind them they probably lost because they had too much confidence or something, and since Branco came TM isnt like that anymore, they play usually good with the media behind them and they also play pretty ok with the media against them because they wanna prove ppl that they are great players and a great team.

Apart from those reasons, I think we HAVE to support branco no matter what if we want a good TM in the World Cup, because the IFF isnt going to change the TM coach to a 90% chance...
