Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iran’s Zob Ahan FC claimed a place in the 2019 AFC Champions League playoffs after defeating Kuwaiti club Kuwait 1-0 on Tuesday.
The Iranian outfit edged past their rivals in extra-time in their Preliminary Stage 2 tie at the Foolad Shahr Stadium in Isfahan.
Osaguona Christian found the back of the net in the 110th minute.
Zob Ahan, the 2010 AFC Champions League runners-up, will meet Al Gharafa of Qatar next week.
Earlier on the day, Saipa of Iran defeated Indian football club Minerva Punjab 4-0 and will face Qatari club Al Rayyan in the playoffs next week.
