Tasnim – ISFAHAN, Persepolis midfielder Mohsen Mosalman joined Isfahan-based Zob Ahan football team on Thursday.

The 27-year-old moved to Zob Ahan from Persepolis after Branko Ivankovic deemed him surplus to requirements.

Mosalman has joined the Iran Professional League (IPL) runner-up on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

After Sadegh Moharrami and Farshad Ahmadzadeh, who left Persepolis at the end of the season, Moslaman is the third player leaving the IPL title-holder.

“At first I would like to say that I’m very glad to join Zob Ahan. I’ve already worked with Mr. Namazi (Zob Ahan coach) in Iran national football team. I had offers from Saipa, Sepahan and Tractor Sazi but opted to join Zob Ahan,” Mosalman said.

Mohsen Moslaman made his debut in the 2007–08 season in a match against Bargh Shiraz, in which he scored his first goal. This makes him the youngest player in Iran Professional League when he was only 16 years old and his immense goalscoring capability.

He scored another goal, against Persepolis in Azadi Stadium and became the youngest player to have scored to Persepolis.
