Tasnim – DOHA, The Football Federation of The Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar Football Association (QFA) on Thursday.

In the meeting, which took place at the Al Bidda Tower in Doha, two federations signed the MoU to strengthen the mutual relationship and to cooperate for further development of the sport in the two countries.

FFIRI President Mehdi Taj and QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani stressed on the deep rooted relationship between the two federations and how football plays a key role in promoting bilateral relations between all federations.

The FFIRI has so far signed MoUs with several different countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway and Romania.
