Tasnim – MARGAO, Iran U-17 football team’s head coach Abbas Chamanian said his boys have big dreams in the World Cup underway in India.

After three convincing wins against Guinea (3-1), Germany (4-0) and Costa Rica (3-0), Iran will play Mexico in quarter-final on Tuesday.

“Mexico is a good team but we’ve analyzed them well. Iran has so many talented players and we have big dreams in the competition,” Chamanian said in the pre-match news conference.

“I believe the team that makes the least mistakes will emerge as the winner. The team will win the match who takes advantage of its chances,” he stated.

“The World Cup is a big opportunity for Asian teams to show their quality and merit. But football is continuous; unless you improve constantly, you won’t achieve your goals,” he added.

“What we have done in the group stages doesn’t matter. The tournament starts now, from the knock-out stage. These are the most difficult matches,” said Chamanian.
