Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iran national football team was scheduled to play a friendly match against 2015 Africa Cup of Nations champion Ivory Coast in Dubai in late January but the game has been called off.

However according to Moroccan website “Alyaoum24”, Team Melli will take on Morocco national football team on January 6 in Dubai’s Al Ain stadium.

A couple of African teams will hold training camps in Dubai in order to prepare for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in Gabon from January 14 to February 5.

Morocco has been drawn in the Group C of the tournament alongside defending champion Ivory Coast, DR Congo and Togo.

Iran, who is currently top of Group A in the Asia’s 2018 World Cup qualifying with 11 points, will take on Qatar on March 3 before facing China five days later.
