Tasnim – TEHRAN, Saeid Rajabi has been appointed as interim coach of the Iranian Saipa football team.

The Iranian football club sacked Majid Jalali on Tuesday following the poor results in Iranian Professional League.

Saeid Rajabi has already worked as Saipa assistant coach. He also coached Iran U-17 football team from 2012 to 2013.

Rajabi became the top scorer of 1992 FIFA Futsal World Championship, where Iran finished in fourth place.

He scored 16 goals in eight matches.

Saipa will play struggling Esteghlal Ahvaz in IPL penultimate on Sunday and meet Naft Tehran in the last match.
