Persianfootball.com – ROSTOV, Iranian gem Saeid Ezatollahi is about to leave Atletico Madrid’s youth team for the Russian Premier League, various sources report.
The 18-year-old joined the Spanish giants’ u-19 from Malavan Anzali last summer and knew to impress there, however, wasn’t keen of spending the next season in third division with the B team.
Despite interest from Spain and Portugal, the talented defensive midfielder apparently opts for the highest Russian League, where he will unite with another hot prospect from Iran, Sardar Azmoun.
Ezatollahi debuted for Iran’s senior national team last month, after already captaining the u-17 and u-19.
He is expected to fill the gap of former national team skipper Javad Nekounam, who retired from international football in spring.
