Inside Futbol – NIJMEGEN, Anderlecht, Celtic and several Dutch clubs are on the trail of Iran international Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

The 21-year-old winger currently turns out for NEC Nijmegen and has been playing in the Dutch second tier this season. Jahanbakhsh has turned heads with his performances and helped NEC win promotion from the Eerste Divisie to the Eredivisie.

Coach Ruud Brood wants his side to keep hold of the winger to help their chances of a successful campaign in the Eredivisie next season, but Jahanbakhsh has just one year on his contract.

According to Omroep Gelderland, Anderlecht and Celtic have been paying especially close attention to Jahanbakhsh ahead of a summer bid.

And his performances have also not gone unnoticed by several sides in the Eredivisie, a group which includes AZ Alkmaar.

NEC are now poised to kick off talks with Jahanbakhsh over an extended contract, though realise they may be forced to cash in on the winger if he does not play ball.

An Iran international, Jahanbakhsh has accumulated 15 caps for his country.

NEC signed Jahanbakhsh from Iranian outfit Damash Gilan.
