Nekounam will be added to Iran technical staff, Kaffashian says

Loading...Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iran Football Federation President Ali Kaffashian confirmed that Javad Nekounam will be added to national team coaching staff after the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
There were some rumors surrounding Team Melli’s coaching staff after Iranian legend Ali Karimi was appointed as Carlos Queiroz’s assistant.
“Javad Nekounam will be added to national team coaching staff after the Asian Cup. Our aim is to add former notable Iranian players to Team Melli’s coaching staff so they can learn from Queiroz,” Kaffashian told reporters.
Kaffashian also dismissed rumours about appointing Farhad Majidi as Olympic team coach. “Majidi is passing his coaching courses and we have no plan to have him as Olympic team assistant coach,” Kaffashian added.
