Saeid Ezzatollahi dreams of winning Golden Ball

Tasnim – MADRID, Iranian midfielder of Atlético Madrid B Saeid Ezzatollahi said that he dreams of winning the golden ball.

Ezzatollahi signed a one-year contract with Spanish side on late August with an option to extend for four-year following the end of the season.

“I always used to say to myself I can win the golden ball. Every time I see the FIFA Golden Ball gala I ask myself ‘can I win the prestigious award one day?’”

“I always thought I cannot win the prize since I play in Iran. At the moment, I play in the European team and I live in the country, where Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have won the golden balls,” Ezzatollahi told the Tasnim News Agency.

“I can become a star at Atlético Madrid. I can do what Arda Turan did in the team. Turkey could not be successful in Europe but Turkish player Arda Turan performed well in Atlético Madrid’s arrangement. If God wants I can become a star,” he added.

“I think La Liga is the best league in the world. My goal is to join the big clubs in the future,” Ezzatollahi stated.
