Tasnim – JOHANNESBURG, Bruno Mazziotti joined Carlos Queiroz’s coaching staff during Iran’s national football team preparation camp in South Africa.

The Iranian football team is currently preparing itself for the 2014 World Cup. Carlos Queiroz’s men defeated Moroka Swallows 5-0 on Tuesday in their training camp in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Bruno Mazziotti, who has already worked at AC Milan and Real Madrid, has joined the Iranian coaching staff.

“I began my career in coaching 12 years ago with Flamengo and then joined Real Madrid. I worked there for three years as physical therapist,” Bruno Mazziotti said.

“Now, I’m working as physical therapist in Iran football team and Corinthians football club. Queiroz believes that I can help the team in terms of recovery and analyze the players’ performance during the trainings…,” the Brazilian coach added.

On May 12, Carlos Queiroz’s men will travel to Austria to face Belarus, Montenegro and Angola in friendly matches before making their fourth World Cup appearance in June.

“South Africa is the beginning of our road. We will hold more training camps in the future and we will definitely choose the most effective ways through different tests,” Mazziotti said.

Iran will play Nigeria in Curitiba in its opening Group F match before taking on Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
