Esteghlal General Manager resigns

TEHRAN TIMES, TEHRAN – Esteghlal general manager Ali Fatollahzadeh has stepped down due to financial issues with the club.

Fatollahzadeh has resigned after Iranian Youth and Sports Minister defaulted on Esteghlal club support payments.

According to reports, Iranian Youth and Sports Minister Mohammad Abbasi has not accepted the resignation.

Ahmad Shahriari, a member of Esteghlal board of directors, is the candidate to replace Fattollahzadeh.
