and as far as muslim countries, they should do the same too if they want the world cup, they should respect others culture and offer alcohol at the games and whatever else...if not they should not host
That's why a Muslim country will never host the WC. Only country I can see one day if they build some modern stadiums host the world cup is UAE possibly? I don't think though they are big enough they might need to have some other ME countries to host. Perhhaps Turkey if they reverse their death penalty law and serve alchool at the games. That is a possiblity.

This has been an absolute disaster and hopefully Ghana loses to the US. The biggest problem is administration in Africa that is why their football hardly improves. One team usually advances to the 2nd round but they don't have the resources that even we have believe it or not.

If you think the IFF is bad you should check out some of these African organizations yesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Islamic countries do not approve drinking. Some non Islamic countries allow drinking in the stadiums, now should they stop drinking alcholol too if they play an Islamic country at home? I for one would be annoyed if I had to sit among 100 drunk people without being drunk myself.
Don't get me wrong, I hate the vuvuzela too and I personally think it should be banned in every stadium other than South Africa, but the South Africans have the right to decide whether it should be banned there or not and people have to respect that.

i feel bad for ivory coast, their only 2 world cups and they were given the hardest group BOTH times.....last time they had argentina, holland and serbia in their group

idk if drogba can participate next WC but its a shame they had to miss out on proving themselves during drogba's career, they'll probably never have another player like him, similar to our daei

While a long shot, but Ivory Coast is mathematically still alive. They need to pound North Korea and hope Brazil does the same to Portugal.

Of course they did not get much support from host countries but still AFC countries did not do well when the World Cup was held in Asia.
As for 2002, Iran should have played the World Cup instead of China.
China was lucky to qualify because Iran failed to secure 1st seeding somehow in the final qualifer round despite the fact we're the only Asian nation who won a game in the previous 1998 cup.

That is not fair. In 2002, Japan and Asia were co-hosts so instead of another 4 teams qualifying, AFC only had 2.5 spots. Why was AFC given the shaft and CAF not?

well, i like to see african teams succeed but not all of them. They played not good this Wordl Cup. Ivory Coast has bad luck. Poor Team comes to two world cups and both times in group of death. I see them coming to the next world cup for sure with this team and with a other group they will advance. Ghana is very good without their TopPlayer Essien. Imagine him in this Team they already had 6 Points. Also Nigeria dont had Obi Mikel. But i dont see him so important for them than Essien for Ghana.
Cameroon is just crap so is Southafrica.

Please enlighten me if I am wrong, but I do not think any African team had a home advantage this time.

What I mean is those vuvuzelas, the sound is always the same no matter what team is playing. The players are not able to hear any chants; they don’t really "feel" their fans.
For example in Azadi people chant things like "X sarvare Y" or "Iran chikaresh mikone" ...etc. This is how you support your team and often that motivates the players.

But now in the world cup each team has to hear the same sound as always: bffffffffffffffffffff in every match, 90 minutes only bfffffffffffffffffffff. It does not make any difference.

So it is not only annoying but also hurts the home advantage in my opinion and maybe it was one of the reasons why they failed.
