Lol.. dude.. that's not a good explanation.

Anyone can build up conditioning to run for a full game, barring some terrible physically debilitating condition.

For example, Argentina, which has, as far as I can tell, no "African" players, is conditioned so well that they can run most teams off of the pitch.

Conversely, The Jamaican team, which has many players that are of African decent, have some of the worse conditioning I have seen on a national team, despite being "athletic".

And..lol.. speaking French(?!) has nothing to do with conditioning, which is at the point of my query.

So once again, when it comes to conditioning, there have to be other tangible reasons why many TM members have poor endurance.

Edit: One more thing.. Costa Rica is NOT AN AFRICAN TEAM! Lol...

Ghana, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica (a VERY good team that recently thumped the USA) are just several very poor countries that likely don't have good facilities or a developed sports science programs, that help churn out better footballers. Yet they seem to do better than TM of late.
So why Iran? Iran may not have nearly the facilities that the USA boasts, but surely some of the fault has to fall upon the will of the players who are clearly out of shape/lazy (two traits that are connected).
So, are there cultural issues that directly affect this? For example, do some of our players have too ****y of an attitude, and perhaps habitually underestimate opponents? Do they too casually dismiss the pace of international games, and thus, do not prepare (condition) accordingly?
I personally wouldn't attribute conditioning problems to IPL/La Liga/EPL schedules, because most other players on opposing teams also have to deal with the rigors of whatever leagues they play in.

I remember I told an English dude a few years ago that US will eventually be better than England in football, he laughed at me. I don't think we'll have to wait much longer for that to happen.
I understand what you mean. I'm from the US. Whenever I say that I like football/soccer in Korea, people tend to get surprised and reply, "isn't football/soccer unpopular there?" Well it's true, but the minority who play football/soccer are actually a considerable number when compared to many other countries. I actually see more fans in MLS stadiums than I do in the K-League ones. (Part of the reason is that Korean workers work longer hours and are too busy or too tired to attend). Many of the American kids learn to play football/soccer in school. In Korea, most schools don't have an adequate gym class and have less gym time than Americans do. They concentrate more on non-physical studies. The kids who want to play football/soccer professionally attend special schools for potential athletes. Those special schools are good though. Otherwise, Korea would rarely even qualify. Korea has beaten or tied the US before. But I don't think it's easy to beat the US now.

Btw- are all of the US team originally from the US?

Why is it that our conditioning sucks? It can't all be coaching, because the TM manager (whomever it is at the time) doesn't train the players year round. The TM manager and coaches only have control of the players for a short amount of time, excepting Asian Cup and World Cup periods.

    -better coach
    -good teamwork
    -better work ethic
-Their federation isn't run by morons; they actually schedule good friendlies and do there best to develop talent instead of getting there team to play the cameroonian C team or Kuwait for Billionth time like IFF

The only area that i think iran trumps america is skill. There is this inherent level of skill in Iranian football that is higher than America. Problem is that that skill rarely develops in Iran because of mismanagement.
